“Consistently excellent”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

Having eaten in many restaurants in Palma over the years, including some of the very best, I am puzzled why Neo Cultural languishes relatively low down the order. It has been consistently excellent and on both the occasions that we visited last week I have no criticism what so ever.

Surrounded by other less interesting restaurants and bars, the entrance is not always obvious, hence there is now often a member of staff out front in the street. Don’t be put off. Inside there is a small, intimate bar where the staff make some of the best cocktails in town – considerably better that Abaco and on a par with Opio and there is always an excellent buzz about the place. The Espresso Martinis after dinner are always a particular hit, as are the fresh canapés that they serve gratis at the bar. However, the trick is to ensure you do actually transition to the restaurant at some point rather than getting stuck in the bar.

The jewel in the crown is definitely the small restaurant (or to be specific the chef). Whether you merely want interesting and original tapas or a main course the food has always been a delight. It is elegantly presented and of excellent quality. On top of which it is considerably cheaper than some of the other more well known venues in town. Do yourself a favour if you are in Palma, look it up and make a reservation, you will not be disappointed.

“Amazing restaurant, a hidden gem!”
Reviewed September 27, 2013 via mobile

We come to Mallorca every year as our family have a boat in Puerto portals. We have never really been out for the evening in Palma so we thought we would give it a go with no idea of where to eat. We walked around the streets and came across this restaurant with the menu board outside reading 'Argentinian steak'. We were sat at the table in front of the kitchen which was great as we could see the chefs and all the lovely food going out. We ordered a few starters to share, white bait, cod croquettes and sausage and egg. They were amazing!!!!! The steak for main course was enormous and perfectly cooked. We were given complimentary bite size desserts, coconut truffles and brownies. We were very impressed with the food, the presentation and the staff/service. We are 100% going to be returning!

“A hidden gem restaurant in Palma”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

In Palma for a weekend with my mum, we wondered past this little gem by chance off one of the many rambling side streets. We were instantly welcomed and served. Not usually eager to choose a set menu, theirs was a mixture of fine cuisine and the 4 course was very reasonably priced.. Beautifully presented, and mixture of interesting flavours our meal was washed down with a fantastic Rioja. Staff were attentive and friendly without being pushy, and we were surrounded by amazing murals and soft lighting... A hidden gem

“Excellent food”
Reviewed September 9, 2013 via mobile

Went here in June with my husband. Cannot fault the food. Went for a full three course meal and bottle of rose and everything was out of this world. The steak was the best I have ever had. If you visit Palma give it a go.

“Wonderful food - great value”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

With some trepidation we revisited Neo Cultural on Thursday night. We discovered this restaurant during our last trip to Mallorca 3 years ago and gad a fabulous tapas meal then. We searched it out again, this time with a 6 year old in tow. Fabulous cocktail to start off, followed by a wonderful set menu tapas meal for 12 euros. Great wine and a wonderful selection if deserts. On arrival they arrived they would cook something for our 6 year old - she asked for past with chorizo. It was excellent. Great food and wine, great service in a restaurant right next to one of the allegedly best tapas restaurants in Mallorca at a truly good value price - go to Neo Cultural - you won't be disappointed
