The staff was very nice but unfortunately is not enough to give an higher rating.
We were there in May, still the price compared to the other nice hotels we stayed in was quite high (130 euros). We took the cheapest room and did not have a balcony useful for drying clothes.
It is near by the beach of las salinas.

We had the most amazing experience with wonderful new friends in this well run hotel. You have the feeling of being part of the family and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so friendly, happy to help and happy in their work. Everything was excellent from the champagne reception on arrival, the service, the food, the advice and guidance on the island, the room and even the onsite parties! You can dip in and out of everything without ever feeling pressured at all. Being so quiet, away from the madness and near the beach is a definite help after a night out. if you want to meet great people and find out about Ibiza's hidden gems from people who have been on the island and in the industry for years this is the place to come. We thouroughly recommend it.

Room Tip: The sunset terrace was lovely

What a lovely hotel in a perfect location. We arrived at about 9am to a warm welcome. Although our room was not ready our bags were taken away for safe keeping and we were offered breakfast which was nice as we had been traveling since 4am.

Breakfasts are a buffet affair with toast, croissants, cold meats cheeses yoguts and fruits. Cereals and milk are also on offer along with fruit juices and boiled eggs. Cooked meals are available if requested. All this is perfectly adequet and actually I dont like a cooked breakfast every morning so preffer this lighter option.

The rooms (and I think there are 8 only) are on the top floor 4 to the front and 4 to ther rear they are comfortable and each has a balcony. At the front the view is over a quiet road and the Salinas beach car park. The road is a dead end and so there is no though traffic we noticed no noise from the car park which was empty at the times we were in the room!

At the back one looks out over the gardens so I would request a rear room when I return.

To the side of the hotel is a large private car park which is valuable if you have a hire car.

The rooms are air conditioned and perfectly adequetly in my opinion. The bathrooms are nice with a good powerfull shower (no bath). The prvided toiletries were lovely.

The hotel does both lunch and dinner and we ate there on 3 evenings and the food and service were both excellent There is a good wine list and the prices were very reasonable by Ibiza standards.

Anita and David who run the hotel are both delightfull and very helpful in organising activities - Anita organised horse riding for us at the Horse Country Club outside Sant Gertrudas - fantastic ride on well behaved horses in beautiful scenery. David you DJ's at Space I think can usualy sort out guest list tickets for the clubs on request.

The nicest thing about this hotel as others have alluded too is that you do feel as if you are welcome guest in a family house.

As fot the Salinas beach this is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and is busy but great fun.

The position ensures full on sun all day long and there are 4 beach bars offering sun lounders drinks food and music all day into the evening - most have a resident DJ in the afternoons. Our favorites were The Jocky Club and Malibu. Also close by is Es Cavallet a quieter beach (swiming not so good) but with one of the nicest beach bars around Chiringay which should be on your must visit list.

I read the poor reviews from August with incredulity certainly their experience was not ours and I would discount them as an aberation.

In summary I would recomend and we will certainly go back.

I have been staying at this wonderful little hotel since they first opened 3 seasons ago and it has become a home from home for me from the first day. The staff are so friendly, and the owners are truly wonderful people who have treated me like a member of the family and bent over backwards to help me in every way.

The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cool, which is all I need in Ibiza, and very relaxing after a day on the beach, or a night out. I have stayed in many different places in Ibiza over the years, and location is so important, and one of the reasons I love this hotel so much is because it is such a perfect location for all my needs. Less than ten minutes from the airport, less than 2 minutes walk from Salinas beach, close to Ibiza town, Playa D'en Bossa, and a location that all taxis know how to find with ease.

The food is fantastic, breakfast available until super late, which suits me perfectly if I have been out the night before, or even just come in! And I have tried many dishes from the lunch/dinner menu and they have all been delicious. I have many friends who have joined me here for a bite, and then come back on other days with friends just to eat here.

My needs in Ibiza are simple - a place with friendly staff, good food, close to the beach, easy to get to and from, and comfortable rooms, and this hotel has all of the above. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely trip away. :)

After a short flight from London our party of three were delighted to be welcomed with a warm smiley greeting and a glass of Proseco from Dousi at 10pm. Kitchen closed at 11pm however, we sat outside in the restaurant under the stars on a balmy night enjoying seafood paella prepared by chef. The ambience was perfect, candles everywhere, soft dance tunes playing and a few other couples around enjoying the night.

I liked the robe and slippers in the room, the mini bar drinks, housekeeping was efficient and a/c all night kept us cool. After five gorgeous nights in a clean, cool, comfy, and friendly environment we had a great time and I would be back. It just went too fast!

As everybody knows August is high season in Europe so its high price for all hotels. We booked this place for its uniqueness and smaller facility and the perfect location from the beach, close proximity to Ibiza. The staff were very accomodating and helpful. There were lots of fresh food daily for breakfast and we loved that breakfast was on Ibiza time!

Chello, Larissa and Fleur had a brilliant time, thanks to all for your friendly and helpful hospitality, the weather was brilliant and we could have stayed another week!
We had a ball and have so many fun and great memories it was so much fun.

We went to stay at Hostal Salinas for a week in August 2011. The plan was to stay there for a week but we left after two nights, we were charged for three nights which was a complete rip-off. We paid 260 Euro + 8% tax per night, the most this place should be charging is 80-100 Euro a night! And here are the reasons why:

1) It's located on the main road at the back of Salinas car-park, it's noisy, you always hear cars and lorries passing by.
2) There's no sound insulation in the building, we could hear everything: from the neighbor's alarm to the slamming doors downstairs.
3) The room was supposed to be the best room, however, it was rather small and without the character. The terrace was overlooking the backyard and had some very basic furniture, it looked so sad that you wouldn't want to use it at all, especially with your neighbors hearing and seeing you at all times.
4) The breakfast was a joke. Very, very basic and we had to ask staff for coffees which took ages.
5) The grounds were small with some worn-out decorations.

The only positive thing I can say that it's 5 mins away from the Salinas beach. But you can't be expecting people to pay 280 Euro a night just for this! Also, we were told that all hotels in Ibiza charge the whole fee on arrival and don't give the money back, however, it wasn't the case as our second hotel charged us at the last day for the actual duration of the stay. Don't go unless you want to stay in an over-priced roadside hostel !

After 3 bad reviews this August we have decided it is time to answer and give our side of the story.

The guests informed us that one of them couldn't sleep because of the noise as we happened to have 3 families with children staying which could have caused a little bit more coming and going as one can imagine. We informed the guests that we would charge them that night as at such short notice we would be unable to rebook the room, which we thought was the fair thing to do. A hotel is within its rights to charge the full amount for the stay booked, however under the circumstances we did not apply this. As it is we lost 4 nights on that room in peak season when we had had to turn down many requests from people who really wanted to stay with us. When we contacted some of these people they said that they would not be able to change hotel for the aforementioned reason, ie that they would have to pay the full price of before leaving the place they were in. Most hotels in Ibiza operate in this way, and if they do not then it is at their own discretion.

Our place in Salinas lies alongside the end of a one track road leading through the Natural Park. There is the coming and going of beachgoers during the day until around 8pm, after which point the traffic quietens to practically nothing until around 11am the next day, Salinas beachgoers do not get up too early. Admittedly Salinas is the most populated beach on the island and traffic may have risen above normal during the weeks of August but to say that we are by a busy road is we feel a little excessive.

Our breakfast, which guests are delighted to learn runs from 9am til 1pm, consists of the following:
Freshly baked croissants and bread. A selection of cold cuts including Iberian Salami and chorizo, serrano ham, mortadela, manchego cheese and edam cheese. Greek yoghurt, 2 different mueslis, hard-boiled eggs, toast, the option of a cooked breakfast on request, a selection of juices and a staff member is on hand to make freshly brewed tea and coffee upon clients´ arrival in the dining room. Any delay with service I can only put down to the arrival of most of the guests at once.

There are photographs of our rooms on our website which clearly show the dimensions of the rooms, the terraces, the furniture inside, the outside areas and the facilities we have. Our prices are clearly stated on our website, and we make every effort to make our guests' stays as pleasant as possible. August is peak season here, and for lower rates, seclusion and tranquility here in Ibiza this particular month is possibly not the best time to come, however many guests have marvelled at the calm and tranquility of our place amongst the relative mayhem which one can encounter in Ibiza in August.

We are a small, family run and close knit organisation and put a lot of our character into what we do here, so any comments we read are taken seriously and to heart. We hope by discussing some of the points mentioned in this review we have clarified things to the guests in question and to prospective guests alike.

The Hostals is perfectly located just 4 min. walking from the wonderful Salinas beach, in a nice quite area. The place however doesn't worth the price you pay: the rooms are small and poorly decorated, bath amenities almost not existing as well as any little detail which is normally what you expect from a boutique hotel. The breakfast as well is very "minimal" and very poorly presented. No care in general is payed to the presentation and the maintenance of the common area and the basics services. People are nice but this is not enough for 240euro+tax!!
