“Good quality pintxos, good service and great jamon”

Two parts to this place, one a pintxos bar the other a more formal restaurant. Great atmosphere. Try the jamon jabugo, just delicious.

“Sought out and satisfied”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 18, 2012 via mobile

Gang of us for pintxos, as good as recommended. Foie Gras excellent, pricey but other servings very good value. Nice to sit down after pounding the pavement. We all liked it! Service was excellent, friendly and efficient.

“Touristic but fun and good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

They have a ton of different tapas and they're all good. It's a little touristic but there are locals too and the staff is super nice. Good wines by the glass too.

“Oo la la La Cepa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

We were in San Sebastian for a total of 7 days this September and found ourselves at La Cepa 3 times. Twice for dinner and once for dessert only. More on the dessert later. Our first night there we had a salad which had the freshest tastiest tomatoes I'd ever eaten. Plus they peel off the skins. A plus. Entree was Wild Boar with loganberries (I think-don't speak spanish-but I'm sure that's what the waiter said) It was great. As if things couldn't get any better, they could. The cheesecake was the best we've ever had. A single round serving the size of a CD (or DVD) with loganberries. This was unreal. The cheese was soft and moist. My mouth is watering just thinking about it while writing this review.
The second visit we had calamari and the crab salad, which wasn't terrific, but again those tomatoes made the salad. Finished off with the cheesecake. We had to be sure the first visit's wasn't a fluke.
No fluke indeed. It was just as good and memorable as the first time.
The third and final visit, we had the cheesecake. And again it did not change. As good as the first night.
So, if you're in San Sebastian, you must visit La Cepa for if nothing else, The Cheesecake.
Oo la la.
