“Lovely hotel - recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2014

We stayed here for four nights and got a very good deal via this website (255 euro including breakfast). The room was smallish but more than enough for our needs. The bathroom was small but again more than adequate. Both were spotless and cleaned every day. Breakfast was assorted breads, pastries, cold meats and cheese -and sometimes fruit and yoghurt - with coffee and juice. More than enough to set you up for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is one building away from La Concha beach - which we could see from our balcony - and around ten minutes walk from the old town. If you're arriving by bus from the airport then the bus station is around twenty minutes walk away or there are taxis at the bus station. We had a small balcony as our room was on the first floor at the front of the hotel. There was some noise in the early hours on Saturday night /Sunday morning but this was not the fault of the hotel but rather the fact that Real Sociedad played Barcalona and won and some locals did a little too much celebrating. However, this didn't really bother us for more than a few minutes. The blackout curtains kept out all the light and the tv worked fine (though it's all Spanish channels - but who goes on holiday to watch tv?). Wifi in the hotel worked fine for us. Air conditioning also worked okay. There is no bar or gym (hence the one star) but all in all this hotel probably deserves three stars for service and location. You get what you pay for so if you're looking for a basic good value hotel then this option is well worth considering and I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We asked for a balcony or view when booking and this was included in our price. Lovely view over t...

We chose this hotel as, according to the several opinions read, it could be the best option for price/quality.
When we were walking towards the hotel we saw the direction signals of others hotels showing 3-4 stars and our Zaragoza Plaza was the only one with ONE lonely and poor star. Basically, we got scared. We spent only one night there, on the last sunday night of 2013. We didn't pay too much for the room, better, it was quite cheap.
However, that one star lies! Obviously the hotel is not a five stars, but surely it's between 3 and 4. So we supposed it's something related with some taxes the owner doesn't want to pay. The room was quite clean, with carpet on the floor, but no dust at all and surely well daily hoovered. The room was very bright during the day due to the large windows facing the main nearby square. However, it was quiet and during the night we didn't hear any noise. I only found the bathroom slightly small, but it's the only negative point of the room I may find.
The hotel is at about 5 minutes walking from the "Playa de la Concha" (there is just one building dividing the hotel from the beach) and not much more distant from the historic city centre.
The breakfast is continental and was plenty and very good.
I strongly recommend this hotel and I'll try to book it again if I'll go to San Sebastian in the future.

Stayed there for two nights back in April. Will give it three stars because of the location, and because the staff was friendly and helpful whenever they could be. However, the room was minuscule (and the walls paper thin), there was no wifi throughout our stay (despite trying different locations in the hotel and repeatedly asking the reception staff - who again were friendly but had no solutions), and the breakfast consisted of cereal and cold cuts of dubious origin. The rates were not outrageous, but still higher than the much better hotels we stayed at in Bilbao and Barcelona during the same trip. I'm thinking that there have got to be better options in San Sebastian.

Stayed here recently for 1 night and although I was trying to travel on the cheap I thought I'd pay a bit more for 1 night! Unfortunately overall I think it wasn't worth it and it was quite expensive!
Communal areas were nice but the room was a bit tatty and there was something growing on the wall and roof in the shower! The TV wouldn't turn off so I had to unplug it! The room was small and basic, if it was half the price then I probably wouldn't have minded as much but it was nearly £90 for the night for just myself. I stayed in Barcelona the night before and paid half the price for a much nicer hotel right in the centre of Barcelona!
On a positive note the staff were very good and I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that.

We had to stay in San Sebastian last year and had a terrible time as the hotel was horrible. This time passing through it was brilliant. All thanks to this great little hotel and its excellent staff. It was excellent value for an over priced city. It has restored of faith in this city and so we will go back and stay here again. Keep up the friendly service.

Stayed at the Hotel Zaragoza while in San Sebastian. Great location, 2 blocks to the beach,
5 minute walk to Old Town, Hop on Hop Off bus stops across the street. Rooms were a little on the small size, but this is also a small hotel. The staff was great especially Margret who gave us suggestions for pintxos (tapas) as well as directions to get around. I would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting San Sebastian.

Room Tip: we paid an extra $5 per night for a room overlooking the Plaza. don't think it made a difference...

San Sebastian is an expensive city. So the price is not cheap. However, compared to other hotels and hostels, I would choose this hotel if we go there again. Location is great. Breakfast is satisfactory. Rooms are clean. There is TV and Air condition.Staff is helpfull. I hope they will put a safebox into the closet. It is quite necessary when you go to the beach and do not want to carry your passports & wallet.
