Warm and friendly
Everything's home-made, the ice-creams in particular are sensational!
Great for brunch, there's a special that's like a slab of toasted brioche served with home-made mango jam. The croissants are lovely, the only problem is they look too perfect and you can't quite believe that they're made here (but they are- check the gleaming kitchen that can be seen from the street) my favourite was the apple one.
There's an area for children to play in, a bar area, indoor and outdoor seating- there are even blankies for you to use if it's a little chilly outdoors. Indoors in winter there's a roaring fire and large Chesterfield sofa.
There's an area that's always popular with laptop users on the high stools looking out to the street. There's free Wifi and a couple of iPads to use.
