This is a beach with stronger waves, lots of surfers and deft. more adults frequent the beach. It was gorgeous and fun. There are facilities nearby.

We swam at la Concha and loved the view of the island in the middle of the bay but Zurriola has better energy and surf!

There was always space on this beach. We hired two beach beds and an umbrella (14 euros for the day) and that is worth doing. The waves are great - we didn't bother renting a surf board as they wanted 14 euros for half a day! So our teenagers just threw themselves into the massive waves and had a great time. There are public toilets but they do smell!

After visiting the famous, beautiful but polluted La Concha we walked up and closely viewed Jesus in statue at the top of San Seb. A glorious view it was! We then walked to Zurriola and we're in need of refreshment that La Concha didn't quite give. To our relief we found cleaner waters and sand just as warm and lots of it! A must do beach experience of in San Seb City.

Watch the tides, waves, surfers and toddlers. Especially at high tide some surfers try to claim the sea, ignoring the numerous bathers, body boarders and the rest of the world. On the left, near the pier, the waves are lower, while on the right, near the rocks, the waves are more spectacular.

Pollution (levels are below legal limits, but above advised limits) should be addressed by waste water management. Until then don't drink the water.
