The Pension Kursaal is a 5 minute walk from the beginning of the old part of the city, but since it's not in the heart, you avoid the noise from the city's vibrant night life and can actually get a great night's sleep. It's also a good value, so we recommend it. A great added touch is the cute antique elevator. There's also a nice place for breakfast (with fresh-squeezed orange juice) just a few doors down.

Room Tip: Get a room in the back, away from the street

Really great location only a few minutes walk to the beach, this is the beach that has the great surf, probably about 15 minute walk to la concha beach. It was very close to walk to the old town maybe about 8 minutes or so no need for taxis. Rooms were clean and modern enough. We had an inside room that faced out to an internal courtyard but not through a natural window which was strange but it did the job for the amount of time we spent in the room!

The address is in Gross, but the pension is actually located only a couple of meters away from the bridge, which seperates the old town from the less touristic Gross. The beach is just accross the road.
The location is perfect, the room we stayed in was clean and with modern design. The one thing which was not right was the odd position of the window - no natural light got inside the room. We did not plan to stay in the room during the day, but still it felt kind of strange.

The location is excellent, opposite the convention centre and very close to the bridge that leads across to the old town a short walk away. We stayed for 3 nights and were quite happy with the cleanliness and standard of the room, it was equipped with all the basics you need and there was plenty of wardrobe space. The staff were quite helpful, although we didn't require much extra assistance. The servicing of the room wasn't done twice, but when we asked to exchange the towels for clean ones, there was no problem.

We had an outside room with a small balcony overlooking the convention centre. While there was some noise, it was mainly in the mornings with tour groups gathering at the bus stop outside and this didn't bother us. It was nice to have a door to open for fresh air & to step outside if we felt like it. We also had some water views. The lack of airconditioning was not a problem as the weather wasn't hot. Be aware though, that a 'double' bed is simply two singles made up separately then pushed together!

Parking was easy, straight into the underground parking across the road (under the convention centre), bring your ticket into the hotel and simply pay with your bill, and your parking ticket is validated to leave again. This was much cheaper than other parking options.

Overall the hotel was great value for money and with such a good location, I would recommend it.

Great hotel. Very close to the old town (2 blocks) but just far enough away to be secluded from the late-night noise. Great beds, quiet rooms, and large bathrooms with the most counterspace we've ever had in Europe. Very accommodating staff that speaks english fluently. Overall, a great value. We'd stay here again in a second.

Room Tip: Rooms in back don't have much to look at, but are extremely quiet.

This little hotel is highly reommendable with very friendly and attending staff.
The rooms are modern, very well cleaned, not very large but more than enough for staying two or three nights ( we actually spent 4). The bathroom has a spacious shower.
We recommend to directly drive to the Parking Kursaal, even prior to checking in, as otherwise you risk a ticket ❗ There is an elevator in the parking and you just have to cross the road....
Location is very convenient, it is walking distance to the old town with plenty of places for eating...
Would use this place again without any hesitation.

Room Tip: Request outside room.
