“Great location and good value for money”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

The location is excellent, opposite the convention centre and very close to the bridge that leads across to the old town a short walk away. We stayed for 3 nights and were quite happy with the cleanliness and standard of the room, it was equipped with all the basics you need and there was plenty of wardrobe space. The staff were quite helpful, although we didn't require much extra assistance. The servicing of the room wasn't done twice, but when we asked to exchange the towels for clean ones, there was no problem.

We had an outside room with a small balcony overlooking the convention centre. While there was some noise, it was mainly in the mornings with tour groups gathering at the bus stop outside and this didn't bother us. It was nice to have a door to open for fresh air & to step outside if we felt like it. We also had some water views. The lack of airconditioning was not a problem as the weather wasn't hot. Be aware though, that a 'double' bed is simply two singles made up separately then pushed together!

Parking was easy, straight into the underground parking across the road (under the convention centre), bring your ticket into the hotel and simply pay with your bill, and your parking ticket is validated to leave again. This was much cheaper than other parking options.

Overall the hotel was great value for money and with such a good location, I would recommend it.

Great hotel. Very close to the old town (2 blocks) but just far enough away to be secluded from the late-night noise. Great beds, quiet rooms, and large bathrooms with the most counterspace we've ever had in Europe. Very accommodating staff that speaks english fluently. Overall, a great value. We'd stay here again in a second.

Room Tip: Rooms in back don't have much to look at, but are extremely quiet.

This little hotel is highly reommendable with very friendly and attending staff.
The rooms are modern, very well cleaned, not very large but more than enough for staying two or three nights ( we actually spent 4). The bathroom has a spacious shower.
We recommend to directly drive to the Parking Kursaal, even prior to checking in, as otherwise you risk a ticket ❗ There is an elevator in the parking and you just have to cross the road....
Location is very convenient, it is walking distance to the old town with plenty of places for eating...
Would use this place again without any hesitation.

Good location. Clean, modern rooms. Reasonably priced. Convenient parking if you're driving. Very friendly and courteous staff. Skip the breakfast, not good value. Short walking distance to Old Town. Close to searfing beach.

Room Tip: Request outside room.

What a great place to stay, everything you could ask for, clean, bright and the perfect position. Just away from the busy streets with the many Tapas Bars and shops. We were given an inside room but asked if there was anything else available, the lady was very helpful and as there was a room with a window available she had no problem moving us. There was always someone attending the desk and staff were very helpful. Would definately stay there again and would recommend it. Thank you.

Room Tip: Inside rooms had a small window over looking inside garden. Outside rooms had a large window over lo...

Terrific value, very comfortable, right across the street from the convention center, and only a few minutes' walk from the old town with its terrific pintxos (tapas) bars. I would have no hesitation about recommending this property to friends.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony.

My husband and I stayed at the Pension Kursaal only because it was on the street where I lived in college. It turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. It is on one floor of an old building, but the rooms are all very modern and simply furnished. It is in a great location, just across the street from the Kursaal and Zurriola beach. It is not in an area with a lot of party goers, so it was very quiet at night. The staff was very helpful, and they have a stand of umbrellas that you can borrow, which comes in handy in San Sebastian.
