We stayed for 5 nights are this traditional style, family run hotel during the fiesta week in San Sebastian. The staff were extremely helpful, cheerful, friendly and multilingual. Our room had a large balcony overlooking the sea and was a good size: clean, practical with plenty of storage space, nice bath and power sockets etc. Very comfortable beds so we slept well. The hotel is decorated in a traditional style and is quite homely. The location while out of the centre of San Sebastian is pleasant and rural, however, there were times when we found the bus journey a bit long (eg if we wanted to change into beachwear we would have to travel back up to the hotel and then back down to the beach which would mean losing at least an hour in total), however, this is reflected in the price of the hotel as I understand that town centre hotels in San Sebastian are very costly, especially during the fiesta week.
Breakfast was a little dull and the coffee wasn't great, however, it was inexpensive at €5/head. After 3 mornings we decided to breakfast in a café as an alternative/change. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and thought that the owners ran the hotel very well and that we had made a good choice.More
