This place was really average I thought. Super sweet really sugary. I'd say they use low quality ingredients. Nothing like other pastry places eg paris ;) oh and bad service!

Hello. We are susprised about your review because we are known for beeing one of the less sugared pastry in San Sebastian (even we make pastry we don´t like sugar), for the best croissant in the city, the powerful taste of our Pastel Vasco... of course if you try sweets as merengue it will be sugared but in the french way also... we are also surprised because you think we don´t use quality ingredients... if you know great chocolate you should know Valrhona and we only use Valrhona for our choclate creations, we are Partenaires du Cercle V and people know our multiple flavors truffles... about the almonds we only use Marcona, the best almond in the world, said by Pierre Hermé and it is an Spanish sweet almond, with powerfull taste not as imported almond from other countries wich the almond only has the shape but not the taste.... about fat, we only use butter and we don´t care about the price because we allways look for the taste. We cook our own marmelades of abricots, strawberry and framboise... we do not use mixes for pastry or icecream, everything is home made because is the only way to know what ingredients are used... I understand that this is your opinion but what I tell you is the truth. Thank you.

Staff is lazy, nervous and unpolite. They treat customers like enemies. Waitres, realy spoiled our day.
BTW, why Basque people does not want to spek English? Obviously, they understand but they do not want to spek.

Thank Kozdra

Sorry if you didn´t enjoy at our Pastry Shop. I hope I would have been there to see the situation... We will try to resolve any problem with the waitress. If you ever come to san Sebastián we hope you try a second time and if you find any problem just let us know inmediatly. About your question: basque people try to understand english but not everyone speaks english. We try to help but not everytime is possible. Tank you.

We spent far too much time in Oiarzun sampling their ice cream and pastries - we even got up early on our last day so that we could buy some of their superb custard tarts (pasteis de nata?) for the next leg of our journey. Lovely.

All the little baked goods, pastries, chocolate, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice were great. The location is also brilliant. Enjoyed a perfect breakfast and missed not going there again.

What a bakery. The pastries are superb. Not too sweet. Try the almond tart and the homemade dark chocolate with almond nuts (best chocolate I've had ever!)
