Show lessDear beyo43,
Thank you for your opinion.
We hope to see you again in your next visit to San Sebastián.
Best regards,
The rooms are nice enough and the location close to the beach is great, although an 8 euro taxi from the old town at the other end of the bay. Little problems such as a complete lack of ironing facilities (save for a laundry service which stops at 1pm every day which is not helpful if you arrive later in the afternoon) and some quite brusque staff did dampen our enjoyment of the hotel. Other staff were fantastic though and certainly very helpful in organising taxis and airport transfers which helped immensely.

If you need a hotel just to sleep, this hotel does the job. Worthy of a 3+ star. Less than 5 minutes from Ondarreta Beach and Mount Igueldo. 15 mins from La Concha Beach. Clean tidy and efficient with friendly staff. Would repeat again for sure. Ample places to eat in parallel streets.

nice hotel, close to the beach. comfortable, clean. nice sheets and towels.
friendly staff. well stocked mini bar, but no coffee making facilities.
a bit far from the old town, but easily reached by bus.

Clean and well-structured. The big drawback are the thin walls, if you're a light sleeper -- whenever your neighbors close a door, a drawer, or a closet, you are definitely going to hear it. The staff has good and bad moments: sometimes they are all smiles, sometimes they barely register your presence. But overall, they're helpful. It lies close to several bus stops whose buses will take you to the city center in no time.

Best regards,
I travel a lot, and this was another solo business trip. I was booked into this hotel by the company I was visiting, and this was my first stay at this hotel after several visits here.
Firstly I can say from my travels I have no idea where they got their 4-star rating from! It is a 3-star hotel at most, and even missing some things I'd expect as standard in 3-star hotels eg. tea/coffee-making facilities, an iron, and electronic room safe (there was a room safe, but key-operated and they didn't provide a key...). The room I was in also looked like it was last decorated in the 1980s and the net curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned since then.
That said, the rest of the room was clean; the bathroom also had an excellent modern shower system. Bed was of average comfort (and having just stayed in 2 different hotels in different cities before arriving in San Sebastian, I really noticed the difference). The TV channel choices weren't as up-to-date as the other hotels I'd stayed in too (both only 3-stars!). I was also put in a room on the 1st floor which directly faced onto a busy 1-way road, despite having asked for a quiet room, so I didn't sleep well :( There is free wifi but it was really intermittent and the room I was in didn't have a strong signal so I sometimes had to walk out into the corridor to connect.
As others have mentioned, the hotel is located a long walk to the centre of the city (20-25 mins) relatively close to the university quarter and the Palacio Mirador. There are some nice local bars & restaurants, but not a patch on the city centre or the Gros neighbourhood.
Staff were all very helpful & efficient. The breakfast was OK: a good selection, and at least juices were fresh, but a 4-star hotel would have provided more fresh bakery products (not pre-packaged pre-made food). I didn't eat in the restaurant, but I had pinxtos in the bar one evening as it was late & I was too tired to walk elsewhere, but they were easily the worst I've had in San Seb.
All in all I wouldn't stay here again, as there are better choices for a similar budget money eg. Astoria 7.
