Our first stop with San Sebastian Pintxos Tours, the white asparagus tempura and Basque sausage in a pastry crust (basically pig-in-a-blanket!) were recommended, along with a glass of txakoli. The asparagus was particularly good. The Basque sausage was good, but ... basically pig-in-a-blanket! Txakoli was perfect for the first drinks of the night. Ganbara has a nice selection of mushrooms, which unfortunately we did not try ... probably a mistake on our part.
