Three more than comfortable nights in this very stylish, clean and well maintained hotel, accross the street from the Guggenheim. Very spacious rooms, beautiful bathroom with all amenities you can think of, very comfortable beds.
We had a room on the back, facing the street, which was quiet and airy, being able to open the windows.
Allright, some of the reception staff could drop the attitude, but some others really make up for that. Breakfast on the roof is a delight; staff is friendly, amazingly quick with whatever you might need and the buffet is outstanding. And a terrace with a view like that .. unbeatable! Wouldn't quickly travel back to Bilbao, but if I would, would definitely stay here again!

We spent two nights in this hotel and were very satisfied. Located just opposite the Guggenheim museum and about a 15 minute walk away from the old town. Rooms and interior very modern and stylish. We only missed a free WiFi in the business centre. We will come back to enjoy more of this city.

The location and decor are great. Having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Guggenheim is a pleasure. The in-room amenities are good. BUT: unfortunately the staff especially at the reception is a bit hit and miss. Some of them were extremely helpful while others bordered on infuriating. With a reception desk full of guests one member of the front office team had the nerve to take a personal call on the switchboard! At a hotel of that caliber one would also expect those little conveniences that make all the difference; for members of staff for instance to volunteer useful information rather than sending you on a wild goose chase. If you ask to use the business center it would be great if you were told from the beginning that the phone, should you require any assistance as there is no one manning it, is on the wall (the ones next to the computers do not work), instead of having to go up and down the stairs in search of assistance. Sound-proofing not great, as we could hear loud music from various functions that took place while we were staying at the hotel.

Room Tip: Functions rooms are on the 1st floor so as far away from there as possible for a little bit of peace...

We stayed for 3 nights in July. The locations of the hotel is perfect if you want to enjoy Guggenheim museum across the street. To view the famius Puppy from your window select Guggenheim rooms. The rooms are spacious, but I didn't like how the windows were opening, or the fact that the walls are not really soundproof and you could hear the neighbours both from the same floor and above. We also booked non-smoking room, but you could smell cigarettes through the AC - which was not really pleasant. Bathrooms were spacious and well designed, one let down is the selections of toileteries - not really top class so buy your own if you want a luxury relaxation. The bar and restaurant are on the other hand excellent, so i highly recommend you to try them.

This is an excellent hotel: superb location (opposite the Guggenheim), exemplary service from friendly, helpful, smart staff, plus interesting, stylish, modern decor, and an outstanding breakfast (it has everything, including churros and chocolate or caramel sauce!). My only criticism is that there are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. If you want a cuppa, you're better off popping across the road to the Guggenheim cafe where both tea and coffee are better and cheaper. We stayed in a room facing the atrium, which was clean, comfortable, and huge.Nonetheless, because we kept the curtains closed (because we noticed that you could see into these rooms from the lift), it felt rather dark and a bit claustrophobic. If you can afford a room facing the Guggenheim, it's probably worth it. Overall, highly recommended.

As others have noted, the location can't be beat. We stayed on a Guggenheim floor (whatever that means) and it was a treat to look out on the Koons Puppy in bloom. The lobby and terrace restaurant are also a treat. The food in the restaurant was quite good in the evening and there's a well-stocked (though pricey) buffet for breakfast.

The negatives: The bathrooms, while quite interesting, are completely impractical. The shower, which is open, leaked everywhere on the marble floor (there's probably a inexpensive fix to re-route water to the drains). We booked two rooms and the shower in the second room was broken and couldn't be used until the next day. A/C in both rooms was virtually non-existent. It was over 90 degrees during our stay and we could have used something more substantial. Our room had a view blocked by a massive pillar. The second room did not, but I don't believe there was a difference in price.

While it was fun for our brief stay in Bilbao. I wouldn't rush to stay here again.

The breakfast at the roof terrace overlooking Gugenheim is worth the price!! And the location can't be any better! But we found the rooms just ordinary. You should upgrade the room if you stay here as the standard rooms are no five star.
