“Modern, comfortable and good location”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

In a good spot opposite the Guggenheim and near a tram stop that will run you up the other end of town for just over a euro. That said it is a nice walk along the river up to the old town, just the right distance for a stroll. Behind the hotel are quite smart streets with a good sprinkling of bars and restaurants, and as you get to the main shopping street a few blocks back these get more numerous. Right next door is an excellent Bar/ Restaurant called Serantes 3 which is really handy whatever you fancy, even if it is just a glass of wine. Dont forget the fine art museum one street back - the building isn't as impressive as the Guggenheim but the contents are better in my view!

We had the basic room and this was just fine. An unusual layout as some have said with the bathroom partially screened by curtains, but dont let that put you off, the essential privacy is maintained because the toilet is in a separate place. A very comfortable bed, good towels and amenities, and best of all - windows which actually open. They open onto a nice view of the Guggenheim and the river too.

I was celebrating a birthday and they left us a bottle of Cava in the room which was a lovely touch, made us feel very special.

The room was nicely serviced and spotlessly clean, as is the whole hotel. A nice public area with complimentary soft and hot drinks, no bar of course, but there are so many nearby it didnt matter.

A very nice modern hotel in a good spot, but do bear in mind it isn't very close to the old town but is ideal for the museums, river and the city centre.

This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting the amazing Guggenheim, and parking is very handy across the road. Be sure to get your parking ticket stamped at reception for a discount. The 24 hour free tea and coffee in the foyer is also a nice touch but what made our visit so enjoyable was the great service provided by the reception staff especially Esther who when I asked if she knew of a clinic where I could have some stitches removed she rang around, arranged a place close to the hotel and offered to come with us as the staff didn't speak English. Not only that as it was raining she organised a taxi which she paid for - now that's service!

Room Tip: Choose a room overlooking the Guggenheim to see it in all lights, it's constantly changing.

The Miro is most centrally located right across the street from the Guggenheim Museum. Parking is available across the street. Hotel location is very near the city core. You can walk to the shopping street and all the restaurants. The metro is very near and a beautiful transit system which took to the sea side. All of the room are fresh and modern. The front desk staff are all most professional and helpful.

Room Tip: I think that all of the rooms are completely modern and most comfortable.

Thank you very much for sharing your kind words on Tripadvisor.

Certainly our location is unbeatable across the Street from the Guggenheim. We are glad you enjoyed our decoration, style, and most importantly, service from our excellent team.

Bilbao´s metro system is incredible, recently mentioned by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the most beautiful in the world...and it is very convenient to visit seaside town of Getxo. Within the city one can walk everywhere or take the tram by the river...

We surely look forward to welcoming you again in the future and we strongly recommend you to book directly on our website to get the best available rates and exclusive benefits!

We wanted to experience the award winning Guggenheim building. We booked the Miro Hotel because it was within easy walking distance. This boutique hotel was enjoyable to stay in, however the internal design is a little strange with reception below ground level and a steep ramp to wheel your suitcase down. There is a 24 hr free coffee and tea bar. There is no parking on site with only one parking space outside to park in while you check in, then you have to drive to a underground car park across the road. We had enjoyable room service meals and breakfast ( included ) was very nice.

Room Tip: It's a quiet area at night. Street side rooms are best for views.

this intimate boutigue hotel is located in the perfect location for those exploring the basque Country in Bilbao. The rooms are modern, and the rooms very chique. If you were visiting the relatively new Guggenheim Museum, which was worth the trip itself, you will find your self literally across the street.

Bilbao has many things to offer apart from the world-renowned Guggenheim Museum, such as the Fine Arts Museum, Alhóndiga, the old town...or just strolling by the river walk surrounded by world class architecture and sculptures. The city is also a great hub to visit the region and its beautiful coast.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the future so you can discover all this....and we recommend booking directly on our website to access our best available rates and extras.

Great location if you're interested in the 2 art museums there, which we were. Short taxi ride to the old town which you can order from the front of desk so although we had a car, it saved with the parking hassles and once there there is a taxi rank to be able to come back. No problem.
Rooms are modern. Nothing wrong with it. Great breakfast. Great price. Great service.

The primary purpose of our trip to Bilbao was to visit the Guggenheim museum (well worth the visit) and the hotel could not have been better. We could see the museum from our hotel window. It was clean and comfortable with helpful staff.
