“Close to Atletic Bilbao stadium”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

The stadium is under reconstruction and the noise from this activity is nerve-racking 24/7. The hotel is close to the city and public transport, have nice rooms and helpful staff. Avoid to have a room in front of the stadium!

Room Tip: Be sure to have a room facing the river, nooot the stadium.

Just outside Bilbao city centre lies this hotel. Nice, comfy rooms, big enough, clean and cozy. Exept for some perfume-ish scent they had sprayed with. I just hung up the "don't disturb" sign, and everything went smooth. The AC is only on when the keycard is in the card-switch, but at least it worked. That is not always the case. Breakfast was good. Not extraordinary, but everything you'd expect was there.

Room Tip: Construction site on the fasade-side, but it did not influence my stay.

Stayed overnight on Business. The hotel is very well located, centric, and the rooms were comfortable, and the price was excellent. The breakfast was OK, no hot food, but it was ok. It's cheaper if you reserve the breakfast the night before. My only complaint was the shower, it got clogged up, it seemed like a very old tub.

I would stay again on business in Bilbao.

Room Tip: Make sure the shower/tub is not clogged.

at the beginning a little bit lost and didn't know how to find the hotel since I couldn't see names of streets. Arrived with the bus from the airport (highly recommend to take the local bus, reliable and fast connection!). At termibus there is a place to store your luggage and they also provide tourism info, very helpful! The hotel is literally a couple of blocks from termibus, just take the bus entrance and go straight (you will pass the stadium and the construction). You can see the hotel at the end of the way, being close to the termibus is a big plus if you want to travel around. Very attentive staff, good service, free wifi in the reception (probably also in the rooms) you have to ask for a code to access the system. The tram passes very close to the hotel (a couple of blocks, through the main avenue) so moving around is quite easy in case you want to go to the downtown for instance. Pubs and restaurants? many of them just on the other side of the main avenue. From the hotel you can walk to the performance center (went to watch a modern version of La Traviata that was very good). And then just walk 10-15min to the Guggenheim, really nice stroll along the river, or you can take the tram if don't want to walk. The room was kind of small but functional and since I was going to stay just one night it didn't bother me. Water and groceries can be bought at a supermarket that is 4 blocks or so from the hotel and you can preserve them in the minibar. I was surprised to find a very modern city :) The breakfast looked good but I was on a hurry (overslept!)

The breakfast is delicious and ideal if you're a vegetarian in Bilbao where it's hard to find veggie food. the staff are really friendly and helpful.
If you like football you'll love it as they are building the Athletic Bilbao stadium immediately in front. You cant hear it from inside though.
It's also really near the main transport hub so we used it as a base to explore the Basque country by train and bus.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first time I stayed was because it is convenient for the free bus to the BBK festival arena. the second because it is comfortable, good value and the breakfast is amazing. (keeps you going all day). Everyone was friendly and helpful
