Stayed here for 3 nights for work. The rooms are very modern and the bathroom is spacious with a big rain drop shower.

There's a safe in the wardrobe which I missed but it is there on the left hand side.

The breakfast is decent buffet fair with pastries, sausages, bacon etc.

The hotel is in a good central location with a taxi rank just outside and a fantastic gin bar nearby.

Most of all the staff were excellent, particularly the ladies who changed my room each day.

We went to a wedding in Bilbao and we decided to stay in the Sercotel.

The room was very nice. Big, comfortable with a nice bed and a very clean and nice furnished bathroom. The pictures of the room provided by the hotel web page are accurate. Just have a look.

The service of the hotel was nice, we did not speak so much with them, but they recommended us some nice places to go for pintxos. In fact, the hotel is close to one of the best pintxos areas in Bilbao (diputacion). To the historic centre of Bilbao you can walk in 5 to 10 minutes and it is a nice walk. Also it is walking distance to the Guggenheim.

We stayed here for two nights only. The room was a good size, beds comfortable, and a bath as well as a shower in a well-appointed bathroom. We weren't able to open the windows but presumably this is because of the aircon.
Staff were readily available; pleasant and helpful so we could get the most out of our stay.
Didn't partake of the breakfast (beyond our budget) but considering this, the rooms were extremely good value with all mod cons, and a sizeable safe to put all valuables in. Would definitely recommend it; as another reviewer says it can be a lottery with chain hotels, but I'd definitely stay here again.

Central location hotel, ideal for both the old town, shopping centre, the river and the Guggenheim museum.

Modern decor in reception was carried into the rooms. We went for a superior which was enormous, king size bed, two sofas, an armchair and the usual laptop desk. The bathroom with shower was very modern and generous supply of toiletries including bathrobes and slippers. The room was spotless, comfortable and peaceful. Enjoyed a good nights sleep.

Unusually for Northern Spain, tea and coffee making facilities in the room were included, but disappointingly no complementary bottled water unless you bought from the mini bar which was expensive.

Breakfast was a let down for this classy hotel, reminded me more of a travel lodge in the uk rather than in line with other four star hotels (take a look at the NH palacio de la merced hotel in Burgos as an example of how to do it right).

Despite the breakfast would stay here again and recomend this hotel.

We stayed in the Sercotel Coliseo for one night before traveling to San Sebastián. It is in a fantastic location, just 5-10 minutes walk from both the old town and the central plaza, and easily found due to being noted on the main tourist map.
The rooms are modern and smart, with comfortable beds (althought the sheets were very thin- something which does not matter in August, but could in the winter). The reception staff were very helpful, answering all our questions. The room was also excellent value, working out at £30 per person per night for a small family sharing a triple room- very good for a 4* hotel. We would unquestionable recommend this hotel, and will cirtnaly use it again if we return to the region.
