This is a nice hotel in the citycentre of Bilbao.

Location: close to everything in the citycentre. E.g. Gran Via, old town, train station and not far away from the Guggenheim.
Staff: was helpful and could answer questions regarding restaurants, activities and further travel arrangements.
Rooms: big, good AC, free Wi-fi, clean (but the housekeeping seemed to have worked in a rush sometimes..), limited minibar selection.
Breakfast: small selection of warm and cold food, cereal, fruit and pastries.
Beds: nothing to complain about, but perhaps the pillows (to thin in our preference).

Would definitely stay here again :)

We stayed at the Sercotel Coliseo for one night in July. We were in Bilbao briefly, landing at about 8 PM and then leaving by car the next day. Bilbao is very charming – unexpectedly so. We stayed at the Sercotel Coliseo because it was inexpensive but it was really an excellent place. Not sure why it wasn’t more expensive. The rooms are clean and pleasant and the beds are good, and the location is excellent – 10 minutes walk from the old city, where we had a nice dinner on the plaza, and 10 minutes walk from the museum. We took the 3247 bus from the airport, which was excellent – we got off at the Plaza Moyua and walked five minutes from there. The bus is very easy to take from outside the airport terminal, and our driver spoke a little English. It was less then 3 euros for the two of us. The receptionist pointed us to the old city for dinner and it was an excellent decision. We ordered a couple of dishes we recognized and one we didn’t and the latter turned out to be spectacular. It seems like you can’t go wrong with food here. Breakfast was also excellent – it cost 15 euros each on top of our room price. It was definitely worth it.

The hotel is decent enough.
It is well located in the Bilbao city centre minutes away from the old town.
The bulding it is in is beatiful but i9nside, there's nothing left of the original fitures. The hotel itself is fine. You can tell that it is a chain hotel and the room hasn't much character. Just like the rest of the hotel.
What I found odd was that they were charging €16.00 for breakfast (we didn't go for it), which was way too expensive, Especialy if you can have it for about €2.50 in most bars just outside the hotel.

This is indeed an excellent choice. The hotel is centrally located, close to the main railway station, the Gran Vía and the places mentioned by anne75015 below. There are some fine restaurants around. The hotel itself is mostly modern, not really atmospheric but very pleasant, with large, comfortable rooms. The staff ranges from decent to really helpful. Recommended.

Stayed here as a family of 5. We had to have two rooms; the family room took 4 - we did two kids and Mum, and the double room Dad and eldest! Stylish and had everything we could possibly need! We were really on a stop over, so were only after bed and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the two rooms were opposite each other. (Unlike experience in England where the family was split up by miles of corridors!) Breakfast was excellent and we had our fill. We booked through Booking.com and took pot luck on an inexpensive option - this was our good fortune! Now trying to ditch the kids and go back for a romantic break with the wife!

I recently stayed at this hotel and the rooms were excellent. They were really clean and spacious with comfy beds. There is a really nice outside area, really stylish. There was only one problem with this hotel - the lack of a bar. It advertised a bar and there was a breakfast area and what looked like a restaurant/bar but I never saw a bar person or anyone having a drink in this area. It advertised the bar being open from 7-11pm - strange hours I thought but even around 8pm, there was no bar in sight. This I felt spoilt the atmosphere of the hotel. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Very close to all amenities - the main shopping area, Casco Viejo and Guggenheim.

this hotel was wonderful, in the middle of town, just across the bridge from old town, it sports enormous room, very comfortable beds, nice staff and peaceful surroundings, even though nearly next to El Corte Ingles.. breakfast very good, parking also great.. very good value for money

Room Tip: no tips, the room was lovely
