What a lovely meal! Anchovies with cheese/cream accompaniment to start - complex and tasty and lovely. Beautiful (rare) entrecôte for main. And an interpretation of a pear tart (slightly deconstructed) for pudding. Lovely lovely lovely. Not a complaint but I'm slightly puzzled that the starter and desert were so complex when the main was so (beautifully) simple. Why? And yes the lighting is a tad too bright. But it's a very pleasant dining environment even so. Efficient service. And it was quite busy for a Monday evening.

This place is for serious foodies. We started with an amuse bouche of a shell fish stuffed pastry--mighty fine. But the really important & memorable starter was the oyster. Just the mechanics of removing it from its shell & splaying it onto the plate was worth the viewing price. The taste was heavenly with some kind of partially sweet foam & bright yellow caviar in a succulent sauce made it to die for. We shared 2 entrees--a veal tenderloin with fois gras & a roasted suckling pork. Both cooked to perfection with wonderful sauces along side. We were too stuffed for dessert but the offerings looked great. The staff were extremely attentive, and the atmosphere lovely & contemporary. I would not miss revisiting if ever in the area in the future.

Superb food and service. However, on a Wednesday night business was slow. We were the only table! Perhaps it's just the summer months. The Entrecôte was excellent. If you're not particularly hungry, skip starters and eat the restaurant's amuse buche instead. Beautiful smoked salmon and vegetable offering. Likewise, restaurant offering for dessert was wonderful, raspberry sorbet, Turkish delight etc.

Although the restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived (at nine) the service and food was excellent. By the time our meal was finished around 10:30 it was starting to fill up. Don't know what people were talking about that the lighting was too bright, it seemed just right. The wine list was extensive and was very good. Some English was spoken if you are like me and only know a "pocito". The veal and steak we had was excellent, along with the appetizer of crayfish and beef rib. Would return if ever in Oviedo again.

On the right day this place is fantastic, but catch the staff on a bad day and the service is very bad as well as the food quality. Front of house is a bit bleak, but this may be due to the crisis and the fact that 120 euro meals for 2 are not accessible at this time. The times we have been there it has basically been empty, but we always seem to run into a Spanish movie or TV star.
