We stayed three nights at this hotel. We were traveling with our daughter. They set an extra bed for her. We stayed at the top floor with a beautiful view from the city and hills. Big room with very nice bathroom. You get a servi bar with free drinks everyday. Great location within walking distance from mayor attractions. We ere impressed with the service at this hotel and Oviedo is a very nice city. The price was very reasonable we paid less than $100.00 a night.

Room Tip: Request a room on the top floors.

This is a great hotel in a great location. The staff is very accommodating and kind. The only down side is that they charge for internet. I stayed at several places in Spain, even camp-sites (a few days later) that offer free wifi. Also, the need to pay for parking was a surprise.

Good location, modern hotel. Good Value. Built above the train station which doesn't help with the views from the rooms.

I know that this hotel is designed with the business conference in mind, but at the price, you would be ill advised to ignore this if you wanted a long leisure weekend in Oviedo, as we did. Having been dumped by Easyjet in some other corner of Spain, we did not arrive until 10pm, but the kitchen (which stays open until 11.30) was quick to rustle up a delicious fish supper with delicious Asturian cider.

We were really in need of sleep and it didn't help that we couldn't get the airconditioning to work, and broiled in fits most of the night. In the morning, when I tried to report it as a fault, the receptionist told me that the hotel has a "system" which means the aircon isn't available until "the summer". Well either my face said something, or St George's Day (that very following day) is the official start of the Spanish summer, because that evening, the aircon was indeed available, and turned a nice room into a blessed sleep-haven. But be wary if you intend to visit in mid-April as we did and the weather is warm. The only other downside I can think of is that the floors are laminate, so if you get a neighbour who likes to clip-clop around in her heels, you will know when she is about.

The staff are extremely open and obliging - the porter found us an electric plug adapter, the kitchen staff will bring you Asturian cider in the lounge (and pour it in the traditional way), and the maids are quiet and efficient. Naturally, the reception staff male and female look like models but thankfully are considerably friendlier. The view out the window is great too! And it is in easy striking distance of the old quarter - and don't get a taxi from the train or bus stations as the hotel lies between the two, no further than 200 yards (subject to survey as they say).

We didn't try the exercise machines, but can confirm that there are 3 or 4 there in a smallish gymn on the ground floor, with a sauna next to it.

All in all, very enjoyable.

Every week I stay for business in one or two hotels (most of the time somewhere in Europe) and I was surprised to find a hotel with that level of comfort at such a reasonable rate. Generally I choose hotels with a price that's twice as high but they're not always a good as the AC Forum in Oviedo!
Checking-in took some time with only one receptionist and 5 people arriving at the same time, but the lady really worked as fast as possible. The room was clean, large enough, individual airco, nice bathroom with even a comb and a toothbrush, comfortable bed, tastefull chocolats, free mini bar, ... It was nice that you can open a window. Room service was fast, the food was just good and again very reasonably priced. The room was almost soundproof. Location in the city center next to the main shopping streets and public transportation.
Many hotels chains today state that they are "completely smoke free", not for the comfort of their customers (althoug they say so) but for their own comfort: no extra room selection necessary, less complaining customers, less cleaning to do, etc. At least AC hotels doesn't paternalise its customers and doesn't choose for you the room you would want.

We stayed three nights over New Year at the AC Forum. All in all, a good standard business and leisure hotel, but rather impersonal. The hotel seems a bit too big for a city the size of Oviedo, and we hardly saw personal or guests. Rooms were big enough, and especially the bathroom was nice. A nice touch was the complementary mini-bar and a lot of amentities, but bath slippers were not provided, something you would expect in a self-proclaimed 5-star hotel. Parking was offered at EUR 10 a day in a public car park. Be aware, as often in Spain, these car parks tend to be narrow for large cars. We did not have breakfast as there are plenty of places close to the hotel to have good and cheap breakfast (e.g. Confiteria Santa Cristina across the road). At the offered rate, we will surely come back (EUR 195 for three nights).
