“A must see for train enthusiasts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

It doesn't matter if most of the signage is in Spanish. If you love trains you will love this museum. Some rare examples and some good examples of everyday locos and equipment. Great hall of busts of engineers. We used an iPhone text translator to understand the information. Nice harbour walk afterwards.

“huge selection of trains”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

I was surprised of how many engines they exhibit. Pitty that not enough explanation is offered in English.
If you are a train or technics enthusiast, you should come here, fee is quite low.

“Rainy afternoon diversion”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

This was very interesting and I'm sure anyone interested in trains or even the Industrial Revolution would have a wonderful afternoon here ( be aware that you must be able to read Spanish to understand all the available information). Even if your Spanish isn't up to much, I'm sure that the many trains on display will make the experience worthwhile. You can climb on board some of the trains which would delight young children. Most of the information is displayed indoors with the actual steam trains being outside of course. When we went, there was a group of model train enthusiasts setting up a track and they let us in to see it even though it wasn't complete. It was incredibly detailed and it was easy to undertand their enthusiasm.
All in all, a perfect visit on a rainy day for just 2.50 euros.

“Rail Museum well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

Fell upon this rail museum by accident. Cheap to enter very interesting. Allow 2 hours. Main groan not a single English translation! Fascinating to note that a number of the old steam exhibits were made in Leeds when we really did rule the manufacturing world!!
