My husband and I stopped for a night halt at Camping Cuidad de Zaragoza. Thank goodness it was only one night! Plus points: well sign-posted; receptionist was pleasant, speaks good English and was efficient with check-in; serviced pitches; wi-fi included. Bad points: some so- called ‘hard standings’ can be muddy, squelchy and slippery when wet; the site, although quite new, already looks neglected, some caravans appear to be abandoned with broken windows; toilet block, although heated, is dirty – no toilet paper or soap in the dispensers; showers are minute, there is a communal changing area. The shower cubicle is just that, but you could put your clothes/towel over the door to keep them dry; showers were dirty.
Prices (March 2013) Adult = €4.37 Caravan = €5.34 Car = €4.85 Electricity = €4.85 Dog = €2.43 (Total cost for 2 adults, car, caravan, electric, dog €26.21)
Summary: high price for low quality! If these are the prices Camping Cuidad de Zaragoza wants to charge, it should provide better quality. We will not stay here again!
PS Like many sites, a charge is made for a dog but nothing is provided - no 'dog walk' area or poo bags! So what are we paying for?

Bit like Bagdad but perfect for a one nighter either to or from Santander/Bilbao Ports. Council run municipal site -easy to find. Toilets/showers clean & warm in winter - lots of washing machines & a Mercadona over the road in walking distance. Added bonus of free wifi.

We were very disappointed with this site. We stayed there in August 2012 after having driven down from the Pyrenees. It was very open and for some reason, they gave us a caravan emplacement to pitch our tent on (the only tent there). On our way out of the site the next day, we saw a grassy area with lots of tents. Nevertheless, there was no shade at all. All the trees are young. Everything looks as if it has seen better times. Half the washing machines didn't work and the showers were not terribly clean. The pool was nice and very safe.

As it was Sunday, the shops were shut. The camp shop had absolutely nothing in it except some crisps and road maps! I asked if there was a supermarket nearby. The answer "Yes, just a couple of blocks away". I asked if it was open. The answer was "No". Oh well. So we had to eat in the restaurant. The food was terrible. I mean really terrible. We had the "Zaragozan Royal Selection" or something like that. It was freezer to fryer to table. Served by a grim and unsmiling waiter.

The good points - it's not far from the city, it's relatively clean, there are plenty of showers and toilets. Bad points - it's run down, the food was disappointing, there's no shade, there's no shop and they are not terribly pleased to see you. I wouldn't want to camp there again.
