This restaurant is located on a small place not that easy to find if you are not from the city. We were four and shared some tapas (jamon, queso, croquetas, calamares etc). You should spend about 20eur per person to be totally full! Too bad the service is horrible and strongly impatient...

Not wanting to venture far from the hotel we tried this restaurant as it was the first we came across. It served surprisingly good fare for what was expected. The décor was dated but as the night wore on, it appeared the locals knew it was good as the patronage grew. Good serve sizes and fish cooked perfectly. Pricing was moderate.

I've had worse but this place is tired and probably resting on it's laurels. Flabby calamares - fresh fish but not quite cooked enough so lacking in crispy coating, disappointing bacalao - frito was promised but we got an indifferent and still too salty stew with overcooked marrow and fish and piquillos; but the worst were the croquetas - much praised in this site - although the bechamel was good and the outside crisp, the Jamon inside was certainly not the promised jabugo, more like a stringy old bit of boiled ham... We would have eaten more but frankly, couldn't be bothered. Can only assume the chef has changed. The restaurant seems to be part of a group now. Times are hard but should be a reason for trying harder?

One of the few places that looked decent open for lunch near the square in August. Sat outside and had a great array of fresh seafood and veg brought to the table. When the final dish arrived, 2 huge octopus tentacles, I thought there was no way I could eat it all. 10 minutes later it was gone; absolutely delicious. Worth a trip if your stuck in Zaragoza.

With so much excellent seafood on offer, a lot of people pass on the croquetas. They are simply the best I've ever had, after a lifetime of eating them. Everything else is great, too. (A great place to go for the mushrooms in late fall.) Have the pulpitos, gambas, navajas, but do NOT miss the croquetas!
