I don't expect good service in Spain, but if it's there it's a great bonus, and it's certainly a feature of a visit to Eslava. We turned up at nearly 2300 and the place was busy, but we eased our way through and let the waiter bring us one vegetable, one meat and one fish tapas where we stood, along with wine and beer. We requested a table and were put on the list - quite surprising that we were able to sit within only 10 minutes or so - we were lucky that a few tables cleared at once.

The food is exceptional for the fact that, though the quality is several tiers higher than elsewhere, the prices are marginally lower! I have a voracious appetite (and lucky for me a slim waistline to excuse it!) so we were able to cover the bulk of the tapas menu - a total of eight dishes between two and sorbet to share. The total bill was €35 including four drinks, which is simply remarkable for the friendly service and delicious food (great ribs: hardly any fat), sangre cebollada is chicken blood but doesn't come as you expect and is subtly flavoured. Presentation of all dishes was good.

La Azotea was the backup option just around the corner - will have to try another time as it also looks excellent.

There's not a great deal to add to the countless glowing reviews below. do arrive near 8 if you want to eat promptly, do be brave and try things - we only had one thing which was a bit strange, the sangre cebollada, but probably our palate and not their cooking! best meal in a week in seville and excellent value.

We went there for lunch, the service was great and the tapas were delicious. You'll find typical ones as well as very inventive ones! Great authentic place to go if you want to avoid the touristic tapas bars!

We stayed in Seville for 4 days and 3 days we ate there. The food was delicios and cheap. The waiters were very friendly and they are working all the day with the smile on their faces.
If we will return to Seville we will go there again
