we booked room 29 for 4 nights from nov 10-14, 2013. it's a room on the top floor of the hotel. not a huge room but adequate with a lovely spacious bathroom. water pressure is adequate, there are bathroom products available (shampoo, bath salts, shower gel, body lotion, toothbrushes/toothpaste). the bed was comfy with warm blankets and many pillows and we were glad the room had a heater/aircon, it can get cold in sevilla at night. the hotel is in the santa cruz neighbourhood, ideally located. you will have to accept some noise at night though, they are cleaning up the streets at night and you will hear it. but that is not a biggie in a city hotel and we expected it.
a very good tapas bar, el pasaje, is only 90 m away and you can also walk to the cathedral in a few minutes. we did not try this, but you can rent bicycles and segways at the hotel. on every floor you have a mini fridge where you can get free water bottles (33cl) and there is a 1l bottle of water for you everyday in your room. the staff at the reception desk was unobtrusive and friendly. we were recommended a free walking tour starting at the hotel which we enjoyed.
breakfast is another matter. we booked breakfast but only went there twice. the warm breakfast is served very late, after 9 a.m. and the choice is rather bland, especially for vegetarians. also the staff in the restaurant was rude and stressed. you are better off grabbing a bocadillo/tostada and a coffee in one of the many little cafés in the neighbourhood.
nevertheless we enjoyed our stay in the el rey moro, thank you for your hospitality.
