The only downside of this hotel is that your cab can't drop you off in front of it - but that is a plus as well. The hotel is on a tiny alley, too small for cars, so a cab must drop you off nearby and you walk to the hotel. But that is part of the charm!
The hotel is an old building with a courtyard - very cute. The staff is excellent and all speak great English. They were helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do - I wanted to see flamenco dancing, but not at a touristy spot. She recommended walking to the gypsy quarter, which we did and found a very local spot with great music and dancing.
The rooms are not modern, but are authentic and fitting for the hotel. The room we had was spacious and very cute, with local furnishing and windows that opened out onto the Romeo and Juliet alley. It was a little noisy because of this, but just people walking by (again, no cars!). We had wine and cheese at the little restaurant next door, which was a very good deal. We walked everywhere but the train station. I would absolutely stay here again.More
