This is an absolutely wonderful hotel in the heart of old Seville. The central courtyard is beautifully done and the rooms are splendidly decorated. Walking the very narrow medieval streets is a delight and a huge bonus if you are sightseeing in and around the cathedral and Alcazar. But therein also lies the hotel's drawback (hence one star missing from this rating): if you are travelling by car there is no way you can get your vehicle anywhere near the hotel's entrance. (In many places you can touch opposite walls simultaneously in the alley where the entrance is.)The nearest car park is an expensive 20 euros per day and a goodly stretch to walk to and from with a heavy suitcase along cobbled streets and uneven flagstones. Even the nearest point at which cars are allowed, but are not allowed to park, is a fair distance for the elderly or infirm. Having said that, this is a delightful place with very friendly staff.

Room Tip: There are two courtyards. Ask for one in the first, principle area.

Dear customer,

Thanks for your review. This cozy hotel is located in the old Jewish neighborhood on a pedestrian, in the heart of Seville. From here the main attractions of the city are aproxidamente 5 to 10 minutes walking. However, for customers who come to the hotel by car, they can get until plaza Santa Cruz and walk 50 meters to the hotel to leave the luggage.
Across the street Menendez Pelayo you can find streets for parking (approximately 15 minutes to the hotel and not always is easy to find a place, but it is a cheaper option!)

Kind regards,
Manuela

My teenage nephew and I stayed at the El Rey Moro for three nights in September 2012. I can't say enough good things about this hotel, in particular the staff. Each one was helpful and went out of their way to assist us. It was like having a personal assistant. Our room, number 18, is a junior suite and is one of the most charming, best-decorated rooms that I have ever stayed in. Also, it was quite large and the fold-out couch was, I hear, fairly comfortable. There is no way I will be able to get my nephew to try out a youth hostel after this experience. With the assistance of the staff we took a side trip to Ronda and arranged our transportation to Granada. The hotel itself is beautiful but what I will remember most is the fantastic staff.

We stayed 2 nights. The room was very nice and the courtyard is beautiful. Staff was very helpful and will assist in making reservations for flamenco, etc. Great location with views of the Giralda from the roof at night. Many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was so-so, with a limited selection.

We chose this hotel due to past reviews and we weren't disappointed. We travelled from the airport via airport bus which was directly outside of the airport and 2euros 40 one way ticket to Seville Prado de San Francesco 30 minute trip. From here you go directly across the road, though a park, over the square and down two little streets approx 5 minute walk. Pick up the bus on the way back to airport on opposite side to drop off (bus EA).

The hotel was romantic and friendly. Our bedroom was clean, good size, powerful shower, most comfortable bed ever - think it had memory foam layer and extra blankets and pillows available. The aircon was silent so you could have it on all night. Black out liner on the curtains was a plus for me. You could book the hottub on the roof for 45 minutes private time which was great after a days sight seeing and tired feet! You can also see the top of the cathedral from here. They had free water available/wifi/bikes and segways for hire. you don't really need these however as you can walk to all the popular sights - cathedral and alcazar 2 minutes, plaza de espana 20 minutes. We got a horse and cart ride round seville for 50 euros and saw a flamenco show for 60 euros (2 people) the hotel booked this for us. Food - lots of tapas but also italian.

The breakfast was expensive compared to the surrounding restaurants but we enjoyed it and they couldn't do enough for you. It was 9 euros each if it was not included in your stay. Fresh fruit/juice, toast, bread, ham. cheese, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, fantastic coffee.

Overall we were really pleased we picked El Rey Moro and can't think of a single complaint!

Room Tip: We had room 1 a superking on the ground floor next to court yard not the street.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved it. Our taxi from the train station dropped us off about a 5 minute walk away. Once past the front desk, you enter a beautiful courtyard with fountain and pleanty of flowers. It is well located not far from the Cathedral and Real Alcazar, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean and well decorated, and included wifi. Also available was free bottled water, and the use of bikes to explore the city. A great place to stay!
