“Crazy noisy and hot”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 10, 2012 via mobile

This hostel has the potential to be great - many of their staff were helpful and the organized activities like the walking tour and the Flamenco night were good fun. Location is pretty good and was a convenient walk to most things. However, staying here prevented us from sleeping for three full nights. We had a private double room with our own bathroom but it was situated under the communal kitchen and roof deck. Most rooms face the inner atrium so you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in the lobby, bar, hallways, stairwells, etc. in the entire place. Music was pumping from the bar and from the kitchen all day and all night long. Horrible. I complained after the first night since I had specifically requested a room away from noisy common areas but this was totally ignored in the booking process since, as it turned out, this was the only private room there. Our disappointment would have been avoided had we known that this room didn't fit our needs from the get-go. They didn't offer me a refund for the remaining nights and instead I had to push just to get earplugs as a concession. Even with earplugs we were kept awake, woken up, and had loud bangs from the kitchen and stairs at all hours for the entire three days. To top it off the room had no ventilation but a "window" that is a large door giving onto the atrium where anyone walking on our floor could see through the semi-broken wooden blinds covering it.

This is great hostel for party-people and independent travellers looking for social activities and 24 hours of fun. Not a good choice for private rooms.

This hostel was the best hostel I got in Spain for the amount I paid. First, the 12 bed room I was in was so spacious with 2 fully functioning and clean bathrooms that I barely realized there were 12 of us there.

There was ample shared space, including a patio with a bar and a pool that is a great hangout spot to meet fellow travelers. Also, an event planner was available at almost all times to help plan the day and give suggestions for what to do and see in the city.

As a young solo traveler, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and met some great people! Location is great too!

This was a great, social hostel. The rooftop terrace is amazing and the daily events make meeting people and having fun easy. Definitely do the early evening walking tour through Pancho Tours. Also, the pub crawl was a ton of fun - great way to get out on a Tuesday night.

The positive: Well situated, lovely terrace with swimming pool and frequent activities at a good price. The negative: The room we stayed had 1 window opening into the common area of the hostel where is obviously always noisy especially given that this area includes the bar as well as the free internet lounge. When we closed the window the room was very stuffy and hot - you cannot control the aircon yourself. Our roof was the floor of the communal kitchen and the stairs to the kitchen was next to our room. The hostel is everything but sound-proof - we could hear every footstep going up to the kitchen and every noise from the kitchen as well as the noises from the bar below. The only time it was actually quite was between 3am and 7am when most people was asleep.
I think it would be an awesome hostel if the rooms where better protected from the noise.

Very friendly staff , nice and clean rooms.
A great hostel to meet new people.
There is a nice rooftop terrace and breakfast included in the price.
The breakfast was not that good, with only some dry bread, 2 different jams or choclate spread and some cornflakes, but it was free.

The Hostel is located about 10 minutes or so outside of the downtown, touristy centre of Sevilla. The staff was friendly, relaxed and very helpful. The Hostel organized daily (FREE!) walking tours as well as other events such as tapas tours, pub crawls and evening cycling tours. There was a neat upstairs bar with cheap happy hour drinks from 6-8pm and on sunny days the rooftop terrace was packed with travellers hanging out and soaking up the sun. The private double room was pretty standard, but clean and was equiped with a safe. The washroom in the private double room was clean and new. A light breakfast was also provided (included in the price). This hostel is a great choice if you are traveling by yourself or in a small group and are looking to meet some new people or have a fun Hostel experience. If you are looking to catch up on some rest, this is NOT the place for you. The hostel was very noisy until very late at night (or early morning) which is not necessarily a bad thing, just be prepared. Overall, a good value and a fun way to meet some other travelers, hang out and take advantage of tours and excursions in Sevilla.
