This very charming hotel is a bit out of the touristy area, but still within walking distance to all the big attractions in town. It was quite affordable and located on an alameda bustling with bars, restaurants and locals. The Spanish stay up late, so be aware that noise may be a factor when choosing your room!

Room Tip: If noise bothers you, get a room that is not street facing. I was on the little side street and in the morning the delivery trucks and worker's conversations bounced right up to the 3rd floor.

The Alameda area is a little away from the Centre but we walked to all attractions without any problem. We liked the more edgier feel of the Alameda - there are many bars and restaurants of all sorts on the doorstep. There's also small supermarket and bakery nearby. It also seemed a bit cheaper than Centre generally. I think the main square (rectangle??) of the alameda is due a makeover but we felt totally safe and loved the mix of families/ teenagers/ mature people and some interesting "characters" that frequent the Alameda.
The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly but also professional. Checking in and out was smooth and uncomplicated. They recommended places to eat outside the hotel which were all good. Our room was fine...quiet, very clean, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. It had fridge and safe. It was not a large room but absolutely fine for a city hotel. A little more storage/drawer space would have made it perfect.
The Hotel coffee room (complimentary coffee 12noon to 6am) also has computer available. We wanted to check restaurant reviews etc BUT banned ourselves from checking work stuff!! We would return to the Sacristia without hesitation.

The pros: perfect location- Alameda Hercules has a lot of restaurants and you can walk to all the major sites as well as jump on the red double decker tourist bus almost directly in front of the hotel. The interior court is beautiful. The receptionists were all helpful.

The cons: The room is small (by U.S. standards). Also, bring your own blow dryer, shampoo, lotion, etc... Our window faced the street and if we craned our necks, we could see the Alameda Hercules. It was very noisy in the mornings so we woke up earlier than we wanted to. The shutters on the windows are like black out curtains, but it couldn't block out the noise.

Go to Paco's next door for the best tapas we had in Seville!

Well located a little way from the "super tourist" area, but still convenient. The room was small, but very comfortable and clean. Would recommend getting a room with an outside balcony. The little plaza out front was very good restaurants. Would recommend the tapas bar Estava.

We have just returned from a stay in the Sacristia de Santa Ana & unfortunately I had chosen the most expensive room on booking on Trivago called 'the Patio room'. I went for the most expensive one listed which was 90 Euro as I had read reviews of small rooms in the hotel with no windows & as it was my husbands birthday wanted to make sure we didn't get that room! But sadly we did & it was a bit like staying in a cupboard! Apart from that I would say we were a little disappointed with the hotel also as the photo's make it look so grand! But in reality everything is much smaller than it appears on the website. The lady at reception wasn't very helpful or that polite when I told her I hadn't wanted the window less room. But I guess as they were fully booked there was little else she could do. Breakfast was included & was ok. Plus points were the location is amazing! So much so we are going back in June but staying for longer in a different hotel & just outside the Alameda. It is THE place to be of an evening but does get very noisy from 1 am even for a window less room! I couldn't believe how safe Seville was, I was a little concerned prior to our visit with the Alameda previously being a red light area but I couldn't have been more wrong. Even at 1 am it's full of families with even tiny babies & I would feel perfectly safe even on my own. Seville is the most beautiful city I've ever seen & everyone (outside of the hotel!) was so friendly! The bar next door to the hotel (to the right if you're facing it) was fabulous & the food amazing!

Room Tip: DON'T book the Patio room!

Dear Madam,

We really would like to thank you for your opinion.
It is great to know you have enjoyed our location and also our city.

We are sorry about your bad experience with the room; we have three different type of rooms with three different prices. Our patio room is the cheapest one because of the window facing to the courtyard's corridor. I am sure that during your stay we where fully booked, and that's the reason why we couldn't help you upgrading your reservation to a standard or superior. We always try to make our guest feel comfortable.

We hope to see you in your next visit.

Kind Regards
