Owner description: For a more authentic and decidedly less well-scrubbed experience, it’s worth crossing the river to explore this scruffy but vibrant old quarter, historically the centre of azulejo, or glazed-tile production. There are plenty of tapas bars for sustenance to sustain your ceramic shopping, and it’s fun to seek out the surviving corrales. These tiny buildings with flower-smothered courtyards once housed extended the gypsy families from which emerged Spain’s greatest flamenco dynasties.

Great neighborhood to visit. Very famous for its ceramics! Be sure to stop by those shops its much cheaper to buy there versus Santa Cruz!

We walked from Santa Cruz to Triana and saw a very different part of Seville. The area was filled with people for a local celebration. We loved wandering the narrow streets, visiting the pottery shops and just sitting and enjoying some Tapas and people watching.

Other than what is right off of the bridge there is not much to this neighborhood. And what is by the bridge is touristy.

Went to visit on basis of previous reviews. Expected ceramic shops, traditional housing and eateries.

We walked all over this area. No ceramic shops. Eateries very average. Buildings are not old and are just the everyday local housing. Absolutely not worth visiting.

Walk over the bridge to the main area of Triana and feel the culture. You can visit the castle of San Jorge and the market which sells meat, fish and some amazing veg. Lots of shopping and excellent tapas bars. We came across a tapas bar which served prawns; well worth a stop for a drink and tapas.
