Owner description: The Flamenco Dance Museum in Seville is the principal reference of the Andalusian cultural heritage, which makes understand and feel the union between culture and flamenco art, it is considered therefore as the temple of the Andalusian flamenco culture. The fusions the tradition of flamenco art with high technology and becomes the main entrance portal for the emotional understanding of this expression of Andalusian identity. A simple must for the cultural tourist.

“The Dancers & Musicians were Incredible”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

The museum was very interesting especially for someone that didn't know about the history and intricacies of Flamenco. BUT the best was the performance of the dancers and musicians in a small and intimate theater.

“Must see flamenco show”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I went to see this during a girls trip to Seville. It was absolutely amazing and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting this beautiful city. The dancers and musicians were brilliant. It lasts for about an hour and is the perfect start to an evening.

“Excellent performance”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

We actually went there on the advice of our hotel reception who assured us that the performance - flamenco dance, the singing, the guitar music - is artistically more authentic, less commercialized, besides being less expensive than others around the city. Seniors were also given discounts. The performers are supposedly teachers as well.

We didn't have time for the museum, but the show was really intense. There were a male and female dancer, and three vocalists/guitarists. There was a lot of stamping and during the finale, the audience got to their feet and clapped along with the stamping.

The theatre museum is located inside an old building, and the low stage is located in a courtyard; rows of chairs were placed on three sides of the stage. One had to go early to get good seats. I think there were two performances that evening.

There is a bar adjacent to the courtyard, and one can also watch the performance sitting on the bar stools.

I would not recommend visiting the museum without seeing a show-you will be disappointed. The museum really sets the context for the show. You will learn the 7 principal styles of Flamenco which can then be related to the show. The stage is quite intimate and creates a great atmosphere. It is set out like a typical Andalusian patio. There is a small bar at the side where you can purchase a drink to have whilst watching the show. There are 4 performers, a male and female dancer,a singer and a Spanish guitarist. Between them they created an evocative and emotive performance that completely captured my attention. It was absolutely beautiful and will stay with me for a long time. If I could make one comment to the manager I would recommend that you only allow people to take photographs at the end of the performance. It was very annoying having people stand up or hold up cameras and phones during the show and does spoil the moment particularly if you manage to be totally immersed by the show as I was.
