We stayed at this relatively new hotel in Seville, Spain for three nights. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the simple beauty of this hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating to our requests. They were full of wonderful suggestions for restaurants and places to get tapas. They even found us a guide who made the Sevilla Cathedral, Giralda and Real Alcazar come to life with his stories and in depth knowledge about these amazing sites.
The morning breakfast in the courtyard was very good too. Strong wonderful coffee, yogurt, pastries and fresh fruit served by an attentive staff.
The location was also ideal to seeing the sites and going to eat by foot. Finding it was a bit tricky however so make sure you are able to call once you arrive in the area.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel based on its trip advisor ranking, and we were very happy with our choice. So other reviewers have commented, this is a fairly new property with character, in the heart of the old town (5 minutes walk to the Seville Cathedral etc) and has a value for money room rate.

It is highly recommended for families as it has a pair of adjoining rooms (2nd level), which are very rare in spain. The adjoining rooms share a small area which can be closed off.

The rooms were not very large but the beds were comfortable. Very convenient, with many shops, restaurants, a few flamenco (high rating on trip advisor) nearby.

There are some tips for travelers:

1. It would be almost impossible to find it for a first timer - the hotel is in a narrow pedestrian only street with many twist and turns. It does not even have a signage with its name. It will be advisable to book the hotel transfer (from train station or airport) if you are not driving (hotel will give gps co-ordinates and meet drivers). If you just take a taxi, you will have to find the hotel on your own as the taxi cannot stop near the hotel.

2. This hotel is not friendly for wheelchair/strollers/etc. We have to push our luggage on a rough uneven street (2-3 minutes) and there is a high threshold at its door. Several more steps inside. I think the hotel can give some thoughts to make its entrance "more luggage friendly". You can ask for assistance but there is usually one person at the reception only. No porter at the door.

I cannot find enough superlatives for this hotel. The rooms were so comfortable and stylish, quiet and peaceful surroundings. The staff was first class with the owner and another employee meeting us at plaza Santa Cruz and carrying our luggage, to attentive staff at breakfast, making reservations for us, and always helpful with directions when asked. This was the best hotel in Spain as far as we are concerned!

My mom and I stayed at Hotel Casa del Poeta for just one night. We had a very attractive room with two single beds and a sitting area. The bathroom was very nice---ooh that shower! There were a couple of minor maintenance issues--a broken outlet and sink drain, but all else was just excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and always available. We were so grateful for the fine restaurant recommendations and the pointer to Museo del Baile Flamenco (sit in the front row!). I enjoyed the continental breakfast served on a table in the pretty courtyard. The hotel is on a tiny street right in the middle of the bustle of the Juderia, but it is very quiet. Google maps does not reliably know where the hotel is but does know the street name. It was very helpful in navigating us through the urban maze.

What an incredible boutique hotel in the middle of Seville. I cannot say enough great things about this place. The service was impeccable and the room was absolutely perfect. Very clean and well-maintained former school. I loved the courtyard feel with all of the rooms opening up onto the walkways - a very Spanish flair. The location is ideal for wandering the narrow streets of Seville, exploring the many tapas restaurants and shops. Just steps away from the Cathedral and Alcazar. Plus, they have a very fresh and delicious breakfast each morning. A great way to start the day!!

One point of advice - the hotel is located off two narrow pedestrian paths, sort of a ways from any street. If you come by taxi, be sure to either have a detailed map of the area ready as you will be dropped off away from the hotel and will need to navigate the pedestrian streets to the hotel, or call the hotel ahead of time and they can send someone over to meet you as you get out of your cab. They can then guide you to the hotel.

This hotel definitely deserves all of the high accolades it has received here on Trip Advisor!!

Room Tip: Room 19 was very large with a nice seating area. We loved it!!!
