I could not have been happier with the hotel. It was exceptional for me. I am single, older lady traveller and I really enjoyed my stay.

The location was wonderful and the continental breakfast was fine.

We spent one night here during a brief visit through Sevilla, and quickly realized we should have stayed longer! The hotel is like a small art gallery, beautifully decorated in every little detail. Staff was very welcoming and helpful with everything, including arranging for car parking. Lovely breakfast with fresh food and drinks, looking out the window to the narrow streets outside, like sitting in a cozy cafeteria. We would love to come back here soon!

this hotel was better than we expected and was quite easy to find which is a bonus in seville since it is a bit of a maze. The owner was very friendly and helpful giving us a map and showing us where the main sights and some local cafes were. it was near the xmas break in spain on 6th january and so there were a few local markets and a lot of bustle in the shops as people were still doing their shopping. the hotel is very central close to the bus station and the main sights. we had a triple room which was big and attractively furnished.

I've never traveled abroad for a month and I find that along with all the awe and fun that goes with where I am lucky enough to be, it is extremely trying and exhausting on the psyche, not to mention your body: being lost all the time, not speaking the language, no human contact/affection and most importantly having to make decisions every second, Solo travel means you have to be seriously on top of things, especially if you're a female. Enter someone like Maria the owner/proprietor of the hotel (along with her husband. Geeze I hope it's her husband- I never asked!) Every morning and some evenings I would bring my laptop-Google translate at the ready, and consult with her about things to do and much more. She is a HUGE foodie which is priceless if you are too, has a fantastic sense of humor, and went above and beyond for me every time:train and bus schedules, hotel consultation, making reservations, etc. She even took my pants to the tailor for me! Too many tapas and the zipper went kaput. She and her husband are hard workers-something I greatly respected, and it shows in the tight ship that she runs. This is what was 5 stars and more for me.

The hotel itself is adorable: Super clean, lots of art cool and funky art on the walls, The windows are filled with multi-colored plastic and is a nice riot of color amidst the marble. The terrace with drinks at night was airy, multi-leveled, and awesome..The hot tub looked clean and lovely but I did not use it. My room, 203, was a good size by European standards, and with a full tub which was used greatly with bubble bath and votive lights to soothe my exhausted body after walking all day. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is 5 euros for a continental and I think 8 or 9 for full. It looked substantial enough but I cant do meats and cheeses anymore so early in the morning, so I stuck with making fervent use of the Nespresso machine which was glorious.

Things you need to know: Walls are paper thin and you hear everything, I was woken up a few times by other guests going back to their rooms. Its impossible not to as the windows face inside the inner courtyard (that was a little strange at first and took a minute to get used to, but I did, no problem.) The hotel, for the most part, however remains a very peaceful respite. The guest were there to see Sevilla and not party all night which was nice for me since I go to bed and get up early. The location was great: 10 minutes to the Cathedral etc., and 2 minutes from several bus lines. I was very happy there.

Room Tip: The rooms are all different. Do your due-diligence and inquire about which rooms are available (square feet? full tub? windows facing the courtyard or the street? etc) Maria will be more than happy to oblige you with the specifics. I had my concierge at my hotel call and was glad I did. Use Google translate for your correspondence if you are not a Spanish speaker..

I booked this hotel because there are a lot of very good ratings for this hotel. Beeing there I can't agree with the high ratings. This is a two star hotel and the ratings may be good, but it still are ratings for a two star hotel, certainly not worth three or more stars.

The positive:
The location is very good (in the old quarters of Sevilla), the hotel staff is very helpfull and friendly, breakfast is nice with a good cup of coffee (Nespresso), parking garage availeble.

The negatieve:
If you are with a car (like us) the hotel is hard to find in the narrow streets of Sevilla, there is no parking possibility in front of the hotel without blocking the narrow road. The facilities in the rooms are very basic, f.e. no minibar, no ajusteble airco. We had a room in the front site, at night when a car drove by, it sounded lijke it drove through our room. The wifi connection in our room was not stable (out of reacht most times). The bathroom looked like entering the middle ages.

So is this a bod hotel? Certainly not, for a 2 star hotel it is average and you have positive and negative points.
