“Noisy rooms”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

The hotel is a small chic and trendy hotel. The only complaint was that the room we had on the first floor was 5 steps away from the front desk and elevator. The room is located in a high traffic area and very noisy. We asked to be moved but were told no rooms were available. One suggestion is that you request for a room on another floor, DONT STAY ON THE 1ST FLOOR. Breakfast is small but good. Front desk staff is nice and very helpful. Good location, short 10 minute walk from the main attractions including the cathedral.

Casa Romana is in a good location - no more than 10 minutes walk from main sights and restaurants. Our de-luxe room was traditionally decorated and maybe a little 'tired', but was very comfortable and in a quiet and peaceful area of the hotel. The jacuzzi on the roof is a great bonus but note that this area is now mainly a bar - there are no sun loungers as shown on the hotel website. The rooftop bar is though a great location to enjoy a cocktail and watch the sun go down. Also the bottled water that they place next to your bed is not free - this isn't made clear and we didn't realise this until we paid the bill! This is maybe nit picking but the website also shows Bulgari toiletries in the rooms - no sign of those at all. All in all though not a bad city centre hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel (away from the road) are quieter

We loved our stay at the Casa Romana Hotel in Seville. The hotel is no more than a 5 minute walk to the main shopping area, with lots of great restaurants and bars in the area. Plan for about a 15-20 minute walk to Barrio de Santa Cruz. The lobby is bright and welcoming, with smells of cucumber and fresh lemon. The main floor has a beautiful open air patio with running fountain. The rooms are a bit small and probably could have been swept better, but the bathroom is nice - and there is great shower pressure. The best part of the hotel is its rooftop deck with small pool, bar, and restaurant. It was the perfect place to lounge and soak up the Spanish sun on a warm summer afternoon. The staff were very friendly, provided information and maps for our stay, and were always there to greet us whenever we walked through the lobby. Highly recommend!

Room Tip: Ask about different room sizes - ours was quite small.

Although conveniently located with comfortable rooms we were very disappointed. We did not find the staff on reception welcoming or helpful and were unaware there was a rooftop terrace and plunge pool until exploring the hotel on our last day. We wished to watch the Wimbledon tennis final but the reception was too poor although advertised sattelite tv. Free wi-fi is not available but It was in every other hotel we stayed at in Spain and some were much less expensive,

This boutique hotel is amazing. The hotel is of an excellent standard, the staff are very helpful and friendly, the room was large and very comfortable- we had an ugrade to a superior room, which was wonderful. The rooftop terrace and plunge pool were great, a nice spot to read a book and relax. The location is brilliant, on a quiet street just five minutes to walk to Plaza Nueva and all the shops and restaurants. We had absolutely no noise from our room or from anywhere else in this hotel. If there was a party on the roof terrace, we did not hear it from our room. I will reccommend this hotel and I would love to go back again. Thanks to all the staff for a perfect 2 night stay in Seville.

Room Tip: we had a superior room on the second floor and it was excellent

We tried this hotel for a short break in Seville.
The hotel looks nice and we were welcomed at the reception desk.
Our room was on the back around a central patio. The room was spacious and the bathroom, being small had it all including bath and shower.
The problem we found was the rooms to be very noisy. Specially from 6am on, we couldn't sleep straigh due to very noisy doors from the neighbour rooms or from the maintenance staff.
There is a nice bar on the roof, called exactly "the roof".
The location is good if you look for the main shoping area, but also just a short walk to the Bairro de Sta Cruz.

Although it took us a long time to find the hotel (lots of one way narrow roads in Seville Old City), it was a relief when we arrived. Greeted with nice iced water with mint or orange and fresh fruit it set the tone for our stay. A personalised letter greeted us, telling us about the hotel. The room, albeit not huge, was very clean and elegantly furnished. It had all the extras you would expect for a 4 star hotel. Bed very comfortable. We didn't partake of food or drink in the hotel but the rooftop area (again small) looked a fun and funky place. I would return! (Also, on leaving, within a few hours or departing, we had a lovely email from the receptionist wishing us a good journey home - now that's great service!). We would recommend to anyone to stay here. BTW: no parking at the hotel, but round the corner we left our car in the Cortes Ingles underground car park - works out at about €25 per day.

Room Tip: a little noisy at the front rooms as they overlook the Calle Trajano with regular passing traffic (p...
