The hotel is well located, clean and in the case of our room quiet. Finding breakfast in the neighborhood is easy. WiFi worked in the lobby. The staff was gracious. We spent two nights. As we are not flamenco buffs, one night would have sufficed.

Room Tip: Ask for inside room.

Great bargain on a cute and clean hotel with very helpful service. Our only complaint was it was a bit hard to find because the street name for the block the hotel is on recently changed--the maps still read Calle Santa Maria la Blanca. Parking in public garage one block to South (in front of Hotel Dona Manuala. Once we found the place, we couldn't have been happier--GREAT location.

This hotel is located in a very busy section of Seville with a single lane of traffic in front of the hotel. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable. We had rooms 15 and 27. The Wi-Fi is free, however, the connection is so weak that you must go to lobby to connect and then return to your room. The front desk staff is extremely helpful. They have excellent knowledge of the city and the various options for sightseeing. We should have taken their advice for a flamenco show as the one we saw, Los Gallos, was really boring! The breakfast is an additional 6 Euros and is served at a restaurant next door, El 3 de Oro. It consists of a thick toasted banquette with thin sliced ham, OJ and coffee. We discovered that breakfast is not a meal of importance in most of Spain. The hotel is in a good location close to the cathedral, the Alcazar (a must see) and the pedestrian shopping area of Seville. The hotel shares a building with the #1 Trip Advisor restaurant in Seville, the tapas bar Vineria San Telmo, an excellent dining option that we enjoyed a lot. Another great restaurant is San Marcos Restaurante with its great Italian food, attentive service and many pictures of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz (who ate there while filming the movie "Knight and Day"). I definitely recommend a walking tour to gather insight into the amazing history of this city. We used the Rick Steve's recommended tour of Seville Walking Tours and thoroughly enjoyed our time with our guide Alfonso. The scent of the orange trees was amazing as we walked the city. Found the same scent called Aqua de Sevilla at a department store named Corte Ingles. Still reminds me of Seville whenever I wear it!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room in your reservation request.

The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and at night the area has a wonderful vibe.
Our room was small but clean. We overlooked the street below.
It did get a bit noisy at night time, but that just made us want to run downstairs and be part of the vibe.
The hotel is just a short walk away from the centre of the old town.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Just don't necessaily accept their recommendation for a flamenco show.

We were very pleased with the location of this hotel. Yes, it's somewhat noisy with respect to street noise and the room is small, but what do you expect when you are in the centre of the city? The room was beautifully appointed - wooden shutters and full-length curtains to drown out noise, light and heat. The shower was tiny, but again, that's what we've experienced in Europe as compared to North American standards. The staff was very helpful, making excellent recommendations to two tapas restaurants which we loved. Internet access only the lobby, but free of charge. Very good air conditioning in the rooms - given our earlier research, I gather this can be quite a challenge in Seville's heat. If I were ever to be back in Seville, I'd certainly stay here again.

Hotel Puerta De Sevilla located in the heart of Seville! I love the location the minutes our cab dropped us at the hotel. It is a short walk to Royal Alcazar and the cathedral and the historical district! There are lots of cafes and restaurants along the same streets where the hotel located.

We had problem with the room key, it did not open the door! Charlie went down to talked to the reception, she climbed 3 floors up instead of using the elevator ( she said it is fast to reach our room using stairs ) and tried to open the room door for us. I was not sure why she closed it and walked back down then up again to open the door. We finally figured out how to deal with the key and the door – apparently we had to pull the door toward us before pushing it open – what a trick!

I love the design of the interior of the hotel and the design on our room – it is so “Spanish” and it is so romantic!

We wanted a queen bed however what they got was the combination of 2 single beds to make it as a “queen” bed. I was not happy about it because I hate to feel the gaps in between the beds no matter how close they push them together. We were too tired to ask for another room and I just have to suck it up.

The bedroom and the bathroom were clean with enough amenities.

We had a street view room which is kind of fun to watch people dinning and talking from our window. It may be a little noisy for some people but it did not bother us much.

Breakfast was not included. They sold us a 6 euro coupon to have the continental breakfast by the side walk café at the corner of the hotel – Toast, coffee and orange juice
Not that great at all.

We may go back to this hotel considering their location. And I would ask for a proper queen bed before I book the room.

Stayed at Puerta de Sevilla overnight en route to Granada. As we were arriving late and leaving next morning, we wanted a reasonably priced hotel easy to get to from the airport and not far from the train station in the morning, with a choice of places to eat nearby. Hotel Puerta de Sevilla ticked all these boxes. On arrival from London, we took the airport bus to its final destination by the Prado Gardens and it was just a 5 minute walk straight up the road alongside the gardens of the Real Alcazar - couldn't have been easier. The staff are efficient and helpful. When I tried locating the hotel on Google maps it showed two locations, the one indicated on Trip Advisor and one in an industrial zone! I rang the hotel to check I had booked into the correct place The receptionist spoke good English and was very helpful, explaining that street names had recently changed (the hotel is on the corner of Calle Puerta de la Carne and Calle Santa Maria de la Blanca). The room we had opened onto an internal courtyard so was quiet. Decor is a little outdated and the bed was not the most comfortable I've ever slept in, but the room was clean, well furnished and more than adequate for a brief stay. Bathroom was good and the air conditioning was first rate, the temperature remained comfortable without having to be adjusted and it was very quiet. There is a taxi rank just across the road and breakfast is available from the neighbouring restaurant for a small charge (we didn't try this however). The hotel is in a great location for the cathedral, royal palace and other main attractions and I would certainly consider staying there again next time we are in Seville.
