Had lunch in this restaurant on a sunday. It's on the second line, so it's definetly a calm and cozy place to eat.
The business is young and owners never ran a restaurant before, and you can notice that. FOR GOOD! You can early feel they have no bad habits, and just look to be treated like they liked to be treated as costumers for years.
You won't get the traditional plain tapas here. They take risks, you can find really original tapas here.
For example, I tasted "albondigas con nata". I certainly prefer meat-balls cooked otherwise, but it was a worth surprise. Just let you advice for the owners, you won't regret.
I've read some critic about the "small" amount of food you get for the price, and i can understand some might feel that way, but we are talking about tapas here folks!!! Not gonna argue with anyone about what's the correct amount, but i have to say we drank 2 cups of wine + 6 tapas and the bill was just 16€, and i was completly satisfied.
They also have some options for vegetarians, and they are really up to adapt their dishes to your needs, so, anyway, anyhow, i would give this place a shot if i were you!!!
I'm a travel agent in north-eastern spain, and recommending this kind of places to my costumers are what make my job worth.
Really hope these guys at Abbatia have good luck and can keep their illusion. They seem to deserve it!!!
!Que tengais suerte!
