Owner description: La Casa del Flamenco is located in the heart of the Santa Cruz neighbourhood, the former Jewish Quarter. The main courtyard of the palatial residence dating back to the 15th Century houses stylish Flamenco performances every evening. The acoustics of the premises are also unrivalled, as they allow for microphones and amplifiers to be discarded. Furthermore, the crowd is seated very close to the stage and so that you can feel all the intensity as the heel crashes to the ground. Every night, two dancers, a singer-songwriter and a guitarist from our roster of artists, all professionals with an impressive artistic background, perform popular dances and songs.

i had seen a few Flamenco shows in other parts of Spain but this show was nothing short of Brilliant!!
The passion, emotion, talent and dedication that these performers have is like nothing I have ever seen before.
the setting is perfect and the space only has seating for 50 people.
i will never forget this show! BRILLIANT!!

You cannot miss this when you are in Seville!

Decidedly not one of those shows with required drinks and food that is more a tourist trap than a true flamenco venue. This is flamenco, pure and and authentic. Staged in an old house courtyard, with a small audience, the venue is perfect for those who want to get a taste of the wonders of flamenco.

Decided to try to view some Flamenco on our last night. Didn't fancy the three hour tour so opted for this. Lovely intimate setting. Felt involved and immersed. Well worth the trip. Would love to have understood the " story" behind each dance so perhaps the full 3 hour would have been better but a great show and lovely location to eat around there or drink before and after!

Four of us booked tickets ($18 each) for this event in the Santa Cruz section of Seville. We arrived 15-20 minutes early and were the second group to choose our seats. The audience chairs are arranged in two rows around three sides of the stage. The setting is simple: four painted chairs at the back of the stage, dramatic low lighting, candles and flowers separating the front row from the raised performance stage. The performers included a male and female dancer, a guitarist, and a singer. The performance was truly exciting and moving. The singing was emotional and plaintive; the dancing was skilled and energetic. I expected the female performer to be the centerpiece of the show, and she was a very fine dancer with great stamina. The male dancer was her equal, putting on a wonderful show himself. The guitarist and the singer were superb. You are allowed to take photos only during the finale. We greatly enjoyed this one hour show and highly recommend this venue for the authenticity of the performance and for the value we received.

OK, this was a winner! When we picked up our tickets we met the producer for the Casa del Flamenco - responsible for booking the artists. There is no such thing as a "house band" here - it is a different show every night. The venue itself is special - in an old restored mansion of some sort. Small space, very high ceiling, good acoustics for this sort of performance, two rows of chairs on three sides of the stage. No tables, no drinks, no food - just a straight-up performance of flamenco dance and music. We have by now seen eight flamenco shows in Spain and this was one of the best. On our night the performance was traditional, Gypsy-style (sorry, "Roma"). On other nights it might be more "contemporary". Both the male and female dancers were spectacular (intense and dramatic, also fun and energetic). Another high point was the guitarist, who was one of the best we have ever seen. I highly recommend this venue if what you want is simply a top notch flamenco performance. Get there at least a half hour in advance to get good seats - it can overwhelmed by tour groups.
