Hotel Patio de la Alameda
Ranked #36 of 178 Hotels in Seville
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed May 3, 2012

The hotel is quite new, nicely decorated (very much like the pictures on their website), the rooms are big, and the location is also very good, plaza de la alameda is a very nice place, 15 min walking to the center, and there are also many buses to the center and to the feria.
The rooms face an inner yard, the typical andalusian "patio" no windows to the outside, so you will have to choose between privacy or light. Also, although the hotel itself is very quiet, you can hear everything happening in the patio, and also the neighbouring rooms.

Very cute hotel in the heart of Seville. Great location surrounded by nice restaurants and tapas bars. Easy walk to main attractions. Staff was helpful and provided good recommendations. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. What makes this hotel unique is the architecture. Just like in many others in Seville, and the south of Spain, this hotel has a picturesque Moorish influenced courtyard. You can just seat and relax admiring the beauty of the structure. I'm giving an average review because of the following: There is a major construction going on within the hotel, parking is not easy to find or comfortable, breakfast is served outside of the hotel (but very good!). But in order to be fair, I have to also say that I was fully aware of most of those details before checking in, it was mentioned on the reservation website.

Room Tip: As for a room with better natural light access. Rooms tend to be dark. During the construction pro...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Oct, it is a charming place, a very traditional building with cool interior courtyards, which is very welcome after walking the hot Seville streets. The bedrooms however are modern and recently refurbished to an excellent standard, but still retains the atmosphere of the place. Having a room overlooking the inner courtyards were no problem and it meant they were cool and very quiet away from the busy square outside. You definitely need a taxi when coming from the station or airport as driving and parking is not to be recommended.
The hotel is on a good bus route into the main part of town , but walking is easy and exciting, especially as the immediate square is just full of atmosphere. The fact that your breakfast is provided in the street cafe next door just lends to the adventure. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English, we would certainly return.

Room Tip: An room overlooking one of the courtyards , and I believe they also do self catering rooms

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH A DISABLED PERSON
I checked with the staff that it was accessible for disabled people. They assured me it was. I couldn't believe my eyes when we arrived... There were 3 large steps into the building and then another one after the reception desk. Then after going through the lobby there were ANOTHER 3 steps!!!!!!! They never even gave us discount!!!!!!!

Room Tip: DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING WITH A DISABLED PERSON I checked with the staff that it was...

We are New Zealanders on a 'gap year' for middle-aged.
After 3 months in Sweden, Scotland and Ireland we desperately needed some sun before settling in Suffolk of the winter. Sevilla had been on the radar vaguely and came up in conversation at a Flight Centre in Oxford St in London. The agent (Boel from Sweden) made a lucky guess and we ended up in the Patio a few nights later - greeted by a nice young guy who spoke English. Amazing place - right on the Alameda de Hercules - which goes off at night, but the rooms was insulated from the street as the rooms are all off 3 internal courtyards. An 16thC house retro-fitted as a stylish boutique hotel and all a long way from the tourist bustle on Centro and Barrio de Santa Cruz - and an easy stroll into these areas. Great bathroom and shower, comfortable bed, cool with marble floors and air-con. Good wi-fi, too. Safe cost extra but worth it to not worry, especially as we 'settled' for 8 nights.
Some of the other rooms had kitchenettes (I think) but our room didn't even have a kettle, coffee etc etc. Never mind, the cafes just outside have fresh orange juice and great coffee for not very much.
Great, great food and wine in nearby bars and markets and a couple of supermercardo, too. Struggled to crack 30 euros for wonderful fresh food and wine, beers, and jerez.
Not for everyone: Alameda is still a bit grungy with a big gay population and there was a bit of dealing going on in one of the local bodegas. Just made it more interesting, to be honest.
Only downside was sound f/x of a couple (screamer!) getting it on next room for a couple of nights - but that made it even funnier...

We stayed here for one night recently and don't have much bad to stay about the place. We were looking for a base for one evening and this hotel ticked the boxes with its location, price and helpful staff.

Only downside was that our television didn't work. Also, if you are taking a car to Seville (we had to unfortunately) then don't try and park inside the old town - it is near impossible. Park the car on the road that runs along the river and walk the 5 minutes to the hotel.

We chose the hotel purely because it was one of few willing to take a one night booking during the Feria. Turned out to be a great choice - attractive building, easy to find and in a less touristy part of town yet still only 10/15 minutes walk from the cathedral and key sites. 2 minute walk to the outer ring road bus routes. We had Room 5, a ground floor triple, not cheap at 220 Euros room only but a good size with nice bathroom. Beds were quite hard but perfectly pleasant for a one night stay. The hotel is surrounded by some great value bars and restaurants - very friendly neighbourhood.
