This is a dream hotel for anyone who plays (or ever played) a musical instrument. This warm charming hotel features instruments pluck and strum, a grand piano and other instruments.Even if you're not a musician this is a great place to stay. The staff gives wonderful service and the location couldn't be better -- a short walk to the main action, yet nestled away on a quiet street.

If you're looking for big chain amenities, go elsewhere. But if you love classical music -- especially Mozart -- and like the idea of having breakfast on the roof terrace with a great view of the old town, this is for you.

We stayed in the Flamenco room at the top of the "Musica" wing and had a private terrace. The room was comfortable in size; the bathroom, small but functional; the ambience is unique.

Hotel Amadeus is situated on one of the labyrinth of streets in the Santa Cruz district of Seville. It can be a little daunting to find your way at first as the streets are narrow and look somewhat the same , so a really good map is advisable.
The hotel has an air of peace and calm about it and has a rather beautiful lobby area. The rooms are spacious and clean with lovely large and comfortable beds.
The front of house area is small but welcoming, the staff here are warmly efficient but not over friendly or memorable.

Room Tip: The hotel was very quiet.

Amazing place to stay! Location, staff and terrace on the roof! Everything in by-foot distance; place is hidden in authentic Sevilla city and easy to go to any sightseeing. You would enjoy here every minute. And do not miss your breakfast or late reading on the roof. Excellent! Superb! If you prefer small, original hotels to gigantic and hi tech this place is for you. With windows to the street you will here the guitar and while in the room you can enjoy freely classic DVDs. But with your car it won't be easy to settle. Anyway, it is worth a try! Given mainly rave reviews I was looking forward to staying here.

The entrance is charming...and the sherry a nice touch of welcome..staff at desk very good and helpful...decor was lovely lots of tiles and Spanish character..so far so good.

We arrived in afternoon so basically dumped our cases and went out to explore..very good for walking to attractions and lots of lovely tapas bars nearby.

My initial thought on room was OMG this is not like the other pictures had seen online...but we had used booking.com and had a cheaper rate so figured maybe we got the worst room..fair enough... except when I went to unpack and put handbag on floor the tiles which were VERY badly cracked were dirty..and I do mean dirty hair etc clearly not swept never mind washed..put me off a bit but my friend said not to bother as the beds were spotlessly clean and too tired to complain.

The bed was very comfortable..slept well until someone above had a shower and I swear I thought it was my friend IN the room having a shower it was that loud..our toilet and shower room was clean but when you had a shower the water went everywhere and it had to be the smallest sink I have ever seen.

We had a nice sunbathe on the room terrace..nice area to relax and have a drink in..very few sunbeds but lots of seating and it was a welcome place to relax ..we didn't have breakfast as lots of places to eat in the area but were told was good.

So basically I would say while my review isn't the best I would still consider returning to this hotel but after checking which room and maybe going for highest floor to ensure didn't hear shower from above. It IS a very good location and I'm sure staff would have had floor cleaned but this wouldn't have fixed the broken cracked tiles one was actually moving when you stood on it.

Had I had a better room would probably have given the hotel a way better review as other guests said their rooms were fabulous...shame really

Room Tip: Go for high floor

We only stayed 1 night during Semana Santa. Hotel is well decorated, in a quiet but central location of the old town and the service by hotel staff was excellent. If you are driving get directions for the nearest car park. Our room was small but the bed was comfortable and it was quiet.

3 of us stayed for 2 nights in early April 2014. Room was very clean and average size for europe. The 3 of us were comfortable. The location is an easy 5 minute walk to the Cathedral. Would definitely recommend.
