This is a quaint hotel tucked down a narrow alleyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful, pointing out attractions and places to eat (and spoke excellent English, although I asked her to speak to me in Spanish (slowly) so I could practice!). The room was great, with super-cold air conditioning and a big comfy bed. The rooftop deck at night is amazing, and is very romantic! Would definitely stay here again. We stayed here in April of 2010.

Hotel Amadeus was a charming place to stay and provided a lovely memorable experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, never intrusive but always there as soon as you require anything. And they spoke English very well, which was helpful for us. Upon arrival they provided us with a map and circled all the main attractions we might like to visit. They encouraged us to try the orange wine, which is available at all times in carafes in each of the reception rooms. The reception rooms were full of character - with musical instruments both adorning the walls and available for guests to play - sometimes we would come down from our room to find another guest sitting playing the grand piano! Our room was a superior double in the newer part of the hotel (apparently there is an old part but we didn't see any of these rooms). It was smaller than we had imagined, having seen photographs of other rooms described as superior doubles, but it was big enough for what we needed and it hard a large bathroom with his/hers sinks. It was an interior room which meant that there was no window to the street. At first I thought the lack of view might be a disadvantage but there was plenty of natural light as our window opened on to an interior outdoor courtyard. It also meant the room was very quiet. The roof terrace was another highlight of this hotel. We came home from sightseeing on a couple of occasions and sat in the jacuzzi whilst the sun set on the giralda. So remember to bring your swimsuit even if it's out of season! In terms of location, Amadeus is well placed for tourist attractions. The giralda is only a 5 minute walk away and the Real Alcazar gardens about a 10 minute walk. However, being in a 'touristy' area, you might have to be selective about where you choose to eat and drink as food is hit and miss and prices are higher. Having said this, very close to the hotel we discovered a couple of cheap bars that served tapas - one of which is 'Fabiolas' which serves a glass of cervesa for 1 euro, the other being 'Taberna La Fresquita' next to Hotel Goya, which served cheap tapas until late and was very characterful. I would certainly recommend Hotel Amadeus to anyone wanting a unique and romantic hotel experience in Seville.

Once again, ditto to all the good things written. Excellent helpful staff, good location, comfy bed. Huge great breakfast delivered to our room (saved some bread and cheese for lunch!). We had a large room on the top floor with windows on both sides and high beamed ceilings. Music theme so very charming. The only negative was I dont think our room had heat. We were warm enough with the quilt for sleeping, but a bit chilly in the AM showering etc.

Hotel Amadeus is charming in every way. First of all, the reservation staff were very nice and helpful during our long distance calls. The common area rooms are lovely and appointed with everything musical, including the artwork and musical instruments all amidst beautiful, comfortable furniture: every little nook was cozy and inviting and I couldn't wait to see the next and the next when first we arrived. They became wonderful little hideouts for reading and soaking up the ambiance. The musical selections were soothing and lovely and roof top patio was luxurious, sunny and comfy. After each day of touring beautiful Saville, we looked forward to coming "home" to Hotel Amadeus. Our room was wonderful -spacious, pretty furniture, comfortable beds with clean, crisp linen every day. We look photos of EVERYTHING because we didn't want to forget a thing about the property. Internet access was a bonus, the little continental breakfasts were good and a few nice souveniers were available for purchase. My favorite was the Mozart music carry all bag. David at the desk was very nice. Stay the the Amadeus and you won't be disappointed. Mozart would have been pleased and proud. P.S.
We had a very difficult time finding this place as the entrance is not on a street per se but rather a walk way. It IS worth the efffort however!

We stayed at the Hotel Amadeus in January 2011, and we loved it. The entire staff was so welcoming and caring for us and all guests. If you are a music lover, this place is for you! It is beautiful, comfortable, friendly, convenient, and just down-right pleasant. I would definitely recommend Hotel Amadeus and would gladly stay there on our next trip to Seville.

Just arrived back after a week in Spain. Stayed in this hotel 4 nights and was very happy with the room (Junior Suite) and good reception from the staff. We particularly loved the rooftop patio complete with Jacuzzi and lounge chairs. A great address if you are visiting Seville which is a fantastic destination for a romantic trip.

We stayed for two nights at the Amedeus and have a mixed review. The hotel is charming with a great location once you can find it. We drove into Sevilla and it is almost impossible to drive to the hotel. If you don't know the city which we did not you may have a difficult time locating the hotel. We wound up at the wrong public parking area and had to drag our suitcases for blocks till we found the hotel. It will be much easier for those coming by taxi as they will arrive much easier.

The hotel lobby is lovely with musical instruments and tile lined floors and walls - also a Roof garden and many tiny sitting rooms. We liked everything here but our room. It was very small with hardly any space at all. Also it was very dark facing a courtyard with very little light. Basic with no frills and a tv with only 4 channels. We were out the entire time we were in Sevilla but it would have been nice to come back to a better room. If you stay here, it is worth spending the extra money to upgrade to a larger room. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast included-continental style.
