“Nice, centrally located hotel”

Everything about this hotel is excellent except trying to find it, and parking. Because of the lack of street signs in Spain, you may need to get lucky to find it if you're driving. We got lucky and made a few lucky turns. We parked at a public car park near the hotel and the car had a nice dent in it when we left. the hotel is a short five minute walk to the cathedral and Giralda tower and about 10 minutes to the Plaza de España. there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area so you just need to find one that suits your taste. There is a nice view of the cathedral and Giralda from the hotel roof.

From the minute we stepped into our room, we knew our stay here was going to be a highlight of our trip to Spain. We had to wait 15 minutes to check in, but the orange flavored wine in the lobby along with being able to enjoy the tastefully decorated public area rooms made it go by quick. Check-in was very personable where they sat us down and gave us an intro to the property and area. We stayed for 3 nights in the Double room on the Street at the hotel next door, La Musica de Sevilla (FYI it's still Hotel Amadeus, just in the building next door).

Likes:
- Location is ideal as it is a 5-10 minute walk to the Cathedral and Alcazar while at the same time not on a busy alley, so it’s still very private.
- Front desk staff was very helpful and spoke English if you need it.
- There was a computer in the downstairs lobby with internet for guests.
- There were multiple instruments to play including a piano in a sound proof room (So Cool!)
- Both buildings had rooftop decks with views of the Cathedral open 24 hours a day and one with a spa hot tub.
- Comfortable beds. And despite the aged building, the room was very quiet.
- Free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Issues that we encountered but may not be issues for other guests:
- The WiFi was a bit spotty and sometimes out of range from our room in the third floor of the next door building. 2 nights we had no WiFi, but we still had the computer downstairs.
- The full body shower was difficult to figure out.
- The water pressure fluctuated in the morning around 11 am, but fine at night. We were on the third floor so maybe consider a room on a lower floor if this may be an issue.
- A key was needed to lock/unlock the door from the inside which made it a bit unsafe since the door would have to remain unlocked when I would leave by myself.
- Not much of a balcony (about a foot out of the room) but the window doors opened up fully and overlooked a church. Still beautiful.
- The key is attached to a GIANT key chain which was cumbersome to bring in a pocket or purse. I think there was an option to leave the key at the front desk but we didn't look into it.

Other things to consider:
- Hair Dryer, Safe, and refrigerator provided in the room.
- Small television with 5 channels (only 2 working at night)
- Breakfast was $8.50 however we did not try it so I can't really rate it.
- Cafes, mini mart, and ATMs are close by on the adjacent streets.
- Taxi ride for us costed 30 Euros from the Airport and 10 Euros to the Train Station.

We definitely recommend this hotel. Enjoy Sevilla!

This lovely small hotel is exquisitely furnished and decorated .Dont be put off by the musical theme - it has been very tastefully done and reflects the musical family who own the hotel.

We had one of the new rooms/suite at the back of the hotel - it was excellent. Breakfast is beatifully prepared and presented. The weather was not good enough to enjoy the roof but that is another plus point.

And... the staff Including the owner's "children" are to be congratulated for their manner and professional but friendly attitude at all times.

In addition the location is great - just sort out the public car park ahead of your visit - it is only 100 metres away but is tricky to get to.

All in all this hotel is to be strongly receommended on all counts.

This hotel is run like a well-oiled machine. The rooms are impeccable, the service is professional and the view from the rooftop deck is inspiring. If you stay in "the Attic" you can't go wrong. The hotel is located in a narrow alley near the Juderia, or old Jewish quarter, and you might have a bit of trouble finding a parking spot if you drive into Sevilla. But this is just conjecture. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The folks at the reception desk are great.

Room Tip: The Attic is the room you want to book.

I think we lucked out with one of the biggest rooms in the hotel. The hotel was lovely; loads of character and clean. Slightly noisy first thing in the morning, but it made us get up to go touring around the town bright and early.

The staff were really helpful too!

Would definitely return!

My college roommate and I spent two wonderful nights at Hotel Amadeus in the "attic" room on the 3rd floor that had its own terrace overlooking the city. The beds were the most comfortable of our 2 1/2 week trip in Spain and the furnishings elegant. The ambiance of the hotel with Mozart present everywhere made this hotel especially charming...I wish I could play that gorgeous grand piano in the living room! The location was easy to walk to most of the major sites and the restaurants nearby provided a vibrancy to the neighborhood - and interesting and delicious food (one especially great one was recommended by the hotel - thank YOU!) While we were there the weather was hot so we especially enjoyed using the (cool) hot tub on the roof after a long day of walking...a perfect end to the day. Make sure you enjoy the elegant continental breakfast on the roof terrace...a treat! The hotel is elegant and most reasonably priced - our favorite from our entire trip. We loved Sevilla, the atmosphere, the sites, wish we had stayed longer and hope to return - and most definitely to Hotel Amadeus. The only negative was the taxi driver that drove us from the train station to the hotel charged us twice what it cost to return. The hotel staff were outraged...if that happens again, get them to help! Thank you to all at Hotel Amadeus - a highlight of our trip!

Room Tip: Attic room was private and a treat with our own terrace - price was a little higher - but worth it!!

Between Trip Advisor and Rick Steves we figured we'd roll the dice and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is centrally located down a cute little alley. The rooms are small and a bit on the noisy side, but the rooftop deck more than makes up for it. Great to spend a sunny afternoon relaxing or sitting under the stars with a bottle of wine at night.
