“Very comfortable, modern hotel with quiet and clean rooms.”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

Very comfortable, modern hotel with quiet and clean rooms. Shower and internet worked great – always an important point with our group. The location was a little further from the town center than we would have liked as tourists, but the 30 minute walk down the main Avenue Eduardo Dato was bustling but safe. The Café Indie just next to the hotel was our regular stop in the morning for a good strong coffee and a pastry.

Novotel seville is located round the corner from plaza nervion. Very close to metro station. The staff was professional and spoke english. Lots of eateries around the hotel.

The room and bathrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was very good to go around the city.

Will stay again.

We were very disappointed with this hotel after staying in other four star hotels in Spain.
The decor of the room was ikea/mfi.
No drawers for clothes just 4 clothes hangers
Paper cups for tea making gave it a travelodge feel
Second bed had to be a camp bed sofa bed with uncomfortable springs
Plumbing in bathroom gurgled every time loo flushed or bath/sink emptied
Desk staff lied to us that entire floors were closed with no electricity Or Floors closed due to bad smells
This would struggle to be classed as a 3 star
When leaving staff didn't even say goodbye or ask if we enjoyed our stay
Would never stay in another Novotel as really put us off

Room Tip: Our request was ignored we phoned in advance and then staff lied to us when we tried to have a quiet...

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of our trip. Intially, we'd been concerned about how we'd find it, having discovered that our bus from Granada came into the rather more distant Plaza Arnas bus station. However, we found the very handy number 5 bus, which leaves from just across the bridge from the bus station and stops outside the hotel. So, it is easier to get that than try to do something complicated with the Metro at Nervion. I believe the airport bus stops outside, but if you arrive by bus, consider the 5.

It is also about 20 mins (with cases) walk away from the train station, so this also makes it a good option. We walked there very easily to buy tickets and to catch our train.

It's also in a good location for walking into town. I know reviews vary on this, but we timed ourselves walking in the hottest part of the day and it took us 25 minutes to walk to the Cathedral. It's a straight road: you can't get lost.

It's also great for shops, restaurants and bars. There's a good supermarket in the basement of El Corte Inglis in the nearby shopping centre. Ideal for all needs. There's supposedly one across the road about 5 minutes walk away, but we never saw it open and so would suggest that you stick to El Corte Inglis for shopping. I've reviewed the bars and restaurants nearby too.

So far so good, but the actual hotel was a bit bland. We've stayed in other hotels in this chain and this was the most anonymous. We chose the breakfast option, which was fine, with a good selection of fruits, meats and breads etc. Just be careful if there's a large group in, as they all arrive at once at the coffee machine. I think this hotel attracts large groups because the coaches can drop them off easily. Anyway, this can also make it noisy at times when they all chat in the corridor.

There's a swimming pool on the top floor, which is rather pleasant in the heat of the day and in the evening. There is an attendant until about 7 and also a bar. Sunloungers are available too. There's also free internet. The room was fairly big, with a sofa bed. The main bed was fine, but the decor was a bit bashed around. It's also right outside the Sevilla FC football ground, so you may want to check the fixture list before you book it.

So, it's okay, but I'd choose it for what's around it, rather than what's inside it.

Room Tip: Go for one overlooking the football stadium, as it's at the back. Except when they're playin...

Exactly what we wanted. Easy to find. Car park next door ( bit pricey )
Walk to centre town no problem. Bars on the way.

Stayed only 1 ight in the Novotel in Sevilla for a stop-over in April 2012. Very friendly and helpfull staff fluent in english. Metro just opposite the street. Nice restaurant with good value for money. Our rooms were neat, but fellow guests on our floor were very noisy. Safe parking. Will recomend it for a stay over.
