We had a wonderful time in this little hotel overlooking one of the most romantic squares in Seville. It is worth spending a little extra to get the top floor room with the large terrace overlooking the orange trees of Plaza Elvira and the cathedral. We were made to feel so at home by the wonderful staff who went out of their way to be helpful. Thank you!

My wife and I landed in Seville from Barcelona and took the airport bus just like the hotel website said. It is a little walk to the hotel from the bus drop-off point as this hotel is in a beautiful old town plaza where cars do not reach. We walked a little and were so amazed when we reached the plaza where the hotel is.
Check-in was ok. We had to wait a bit for our room as we arrived before check-in time. Not an issue, lots of tapas restaurants around in the plaza and off-the plaza. The hotel also has its own cute restaurant. They kept our luggage till our room was ready.
Staff at the reception was helpful and it felt very safe leaving our keys with them when we ventured around town. Our room was on the first floor. The hotel also has a small elevator. The hotel is clean. The room was very small, but cute. It has a awesome door which you can open to see the plaza and orange trees are visible from your room. The room space is very limited and there is no place to even keep your luggage. We travel a lot and this was one of the smallest rooms we stayed in. But no complaints, it was clean, rustic and beautiful all around.
The bathroom has a foggy glass door, so not much privacy between the small room and bathroom ( if that is a concern for you). Shower was modern with a rainfall shower head and handheld shower option too.
Everything is walk-able from the plaza. The Alcazar and Cathedral are just around the corner and lots of great tapas places and late night drinking options near the cathedral. We enjoyed Bodega Santa Cruz, which is also walk-able from the hotel. Easy to get back to your hotel every night.
We walked all around town from the hotel. All of Seville is accessible from the hotel.
The Hotel can also get a taxi for you (which you have to catch from the plaza where the Cathedral is). Though, we asked for a taxi to the train station but the taxi never came to pick us up. Mind you this was Christmas Day morning so the whole town empty. We just ended up taking the tram and then bus to the train station. A little adventure is always fun.
The Hotel is in a small plaza so there is noise which can come up to the room from people talking and walking around late at night downstairs.
As long as you are ok with a small tiny room (maybe the terrace rooms are bigger) this is a good place to stay.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Terrace room, they are a little bigger. Drink and eat at Bodega Santa Cruz, not rest...

Dear Guest,

Thanks for spending your time writing a comment about your stay with us.

It´s a pleasure for us that you mentioned our wonderful location. On the heart of the quiet Santa Cruz district and also close to many bars and restaurants that offer the best of the Sevillian gastronomy.

You chose to stay in the cute standard double room. Maybe for your next visit we could offer you one of our beautiful Junior Suites with private terrace. Sure you would love too.

The bustle and joy is something that characterizes so much the personality of the sevilian people, besides this, as you mention, you visited Sevilla on Christmas holidays and this is provable that you felt your stay was particularly noisy.

Our hotel has a postcard´s building, at the beginning of the twentieth century, this was about to be included in the Guinness Book of Records as one of the most beautiful and photographed Sevilla buildings! All this is complemented by the decoration that try to transmit a comfortable and elegant atmosphere.

The whole Elvira Plaza Hotel ´s team is working hard for a common goal: Make our clients really happy with the service received, wanting to come back without any doubt.
Again, thanks for making this possible!

We spent 5 nights in December here on our first visit to Seville. What a find! It could not be more convenient for just about everything, The Cathedral, shops, markets, the Bullring and Tapas Bars.
The staff are great, the large bed very comfortable, tropical shower in the well equipped bathroom and just the general atmosphere was marvellous. When we next visit Seville, this is where we will stay again without question.

Room Tip: There are only six rooms, we had 102 with two balcony windows onto the square, you can almost pick t...

This is a great location, close to the city square and tons of restaurants everywhere you turn. Within walking distance of major sights, bus station and about 10 minute drive from airport. We went during their 2 major holidays and had a blast. The hotel has a handful of rooms and we stayed in their junior suite with 2 balconies. Worth the money. Housekeeping was fabulous. Can get a little noisy during the evenings with people walking thru the alleys but I guess that's for all hotels in the area. No English subtitle on tv. Wifi worked great on 1 device but took time and had to walk around the room or hotel to connect other devices. One more thing, you get dropped off by taxi in city square and need to walk about 3-4 minutes to hotel (again typical for majority of hotels in this area due to layout) Highly recommend this hotel overall.

Dear Customer ,

Thank you for chose our hotel for your stay in Seville , and also for writing a review of your experience. For us it's quite a compliment to have been qualified with the highest score by you.

We are glad you enjoyed one of our best rooms , a spacious , bright and relaxing junior suite with private terraces and views of the Giralda, the Alcazar Palace and Doña Elvira Square. That our customers consider that the value ratio offered for all of this is fair, is clearly part of our main purposes.

As you say, bustle and joy is part of the busy neighborhood of Santa Cruz , as well as forming part of the character of the Sevillian people in general. Maybe this and that your trip coincided with the feast of the Spanish Constitution and the day of the Immaculate Conception, had relation with the noise of the streets during your stay.

Located in the old Jewish quarter, we enjoy the beautiful original structure of its sinuous , winding and pedestrian streets , something so characteristic that makes famous this area of the city .

Thanks for writing this review so positive and for choosing us . We hope to see you again in our hotel!

This hotel was clean, in a great location and had a very helpful staff. It was simply decorated which helps add to the relaxed vibe. It's also walking distance to tons of great tapas joints. We'd definitely stay here again.

Nice friendly welcome and a very clean place to stay. It is right in the middle of the old Jewish quarter where there lovely old cobbled streets with plenty of restaurants and bars.

We chose to have a junior suite as we wanted a terrace. It was huge with a view over the Plaza.

The hotel is small and doesn't have a lot of facilities but it is an ideal place if you don't need a pool and spa etc.

The positives:

- great location....walking distance to all the places that you would want to visit
- Hotel situated in a beautiful little plaza (think courtyard). not so easy to get to as there is no taxi access but not a big deal to drag your luggage from the adjacent plaza.
- staff was very helpfull and friendly. specifically Sheila, Salva, and (forgive my forgetting her name) the day desk receptionist on Sep. 21/22
- staff from the adjoining restaurant also helpful. each time we needed ice they would run to the far side of the plaza to get it for us and were surprised when i tipped them.
- good wifi
- spend the extra for the junior suite. with views of the cathedral clock tower from your terrace at night it is worth it

only downside is the noise at night. especially when the trash truck shows up at 3am and they start dragging all the dumpsters across the cobblestones!
