“Beautiful suprise!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

This Boutique was perfect on our trip to hotel. Set in the heart of Santa Cruz we felt like we have a true experience of Seville with easy access to the Cathedral, Alcazar Palace and many Tapas bars and Restaurants. Rooms are quite small but beautifully decorated to a boutique standard with a very reasonable price tag compared to the over priced large chain hotels that lack character. This was one of the most pleasant places I've stayed with lovely helpful staff to complete the experience.

My husband and I have just spent four nights in this pretty little hotel in Seville. The location of the hotel in Plaza Doña Elvira is superb, three minutes walk from the Cathedral and the Alcázar and at a stone’s throw from all other places of interest. The square is really a little jewel. The staff is fantastically kind and helpful and they make you feel totally at home. The rooms are pretty and stylish although a bit small and at a certain time of the night, rather noisy while the garbage is being collected. The en-suite bathroom has a lovely shower and free toiletries and the hotel provides slippers for the guests. There is a nice big flat screen TV set and also an iPod dock in the room. As for the rest, the area is completely pedestrian, so there is no traffic and there are innumerable restaurants in the area. A very pleasant and significant aspect of the hotel is that they send a ‘Thank You’ email to their guests after departure !

The hotel is ideally located in the Santa Cruz neighborhood, close to the historical center. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and cozy.

However, the downside for me was the noise at night, amplified in the narrow streets. People are up late and are very loud, which is no problem as long as you adjust to that schedule. Restaurants in the neighborhood close around 1-1.30 am, at which point all the tables are dragged (literally) inside and the trash cans are dragged (literally) outside, lasting about 30 minutes. Then, at 3 am, the garbage is collected, but as the garbage truck can't get into the narrow streets, the trash cans are then again dragged through the streets, again, lasting for about 30 minutes. In the morning at 8-8.30 am, restaurants then open again and people are starting to get out.

So, if you have trouble sleeping when there is a lot of noise (like me), this hotel is to be absolutely avoided. If this doesn't bother you, I warmly recommend it.

I booked this hotel through the internet to stay there for a couple of days before Christmas. It is a beautiful place, very tastefully decorated with lots of charm and the location is just fantastic! The staff is very helpful and friendly. My room was not very big and it had a view towards the inside of the hotel. I don't know if this was because I got a considerable discount through internet booking. Considering the money I paid for it I was very happy with this. However for the full price I would have found this rather expensive. I love my breakfast and this is served in another place nearby. This was not as good as I would have expected for such a high standard hotel but the city has plenty of places which are nearby.

What a stunning find this hotel is. My wife booked this and I was dubious as it was listed as a 3* - I only go for a min 4* usually but this place is better than most 5* hotels! It's small, friendly and the rooms are lovely. Modern but with a traditional edge. Our room (001) had a huge rain shower as well. The location is perfect... In a stunning little square in the heart of the old town.. Right next to the Cathedral and Alcazar Palace. There are great tapas bars within a 2 min walk that serve authentic Tapas. We live in Spain and are on a long weekend in Seville - cant recommend this hotel enough... Superb!

This hotel was an accommodation highlight in my 6 week trip through Spain & Portugal. Situated in a heritage building within the Elvira Plaza, Barrio Santa Cruz it has been thoughtfully renovated with contemporary furnishings and ensuites whilst retaining its old world charm. Staff were very friendly and helpful (spoke fluent English for those that it matters) and nothing was too much trouble, rooms were clean and light with a private terrace (I had a room on Level 2 overlooking the plaza) and the location is within 100m of the Alcazar and Cathedral. It's not accessible by car (part of the charm), but the taxi dropped me off with directions with approx 150m walk (€5-7 taxi from the train station).

The area is abundant with tapas bars, restaurants and flamenco and is frequented by locals and tourists alike. I was there in the off season so reasonably quiet, even so, the building seems to be well buffered from noise levels both internally and externally and sleeping was not an issue.

Breakfast was standard fare but other options nearby if you want a strong coffee and pastry to start the day. All up would highly recommend for solo, couples or families at a reasonable price for quality boutique accommodation.

Room Tip: Had a room on Level 2 with terrace overlooking the plaza with natural light and fresh air.....can...

We stayed here for my wifes 60th birthday and we had a great time. Our room was light airy and modern and good size. The bathroom was clean and well equiped. The large balcony had a lounge and coffee table where we enjoyed a quiet drink in the evening and was large enough for us both to sunbathe.
The hotel has its own resturaunt with a good menu, the wait staff are VERY friendly and when they found it was my wifes birthday they made a special cake with candles and sang happy birthday for her. They have a cold cabinet with a selection of fresh fish and we had two very delicious meals from here, turbot and baby soles.
Seville is a very clean city and to achive this the streets are cleaned every evening ater all the tables and chairs etc are removed so if you are a light sleeper then you may hear this if you sleep wth the windows open.
Would we go back? Well we hope to spend another 5 days there in the future for Feria de Abril
