Pros:
Decent price
Central location

Cons:
Sheets look dirty
Ants in our room
Horrible customer service after complaint

It is currently 1:34 in the morning. My fiance and I could not fall asleep because we kept feeling ants crawling all over us. During our first day at the hotel, I killed an ant in the bathroom. I didnt think too much of it. However, later that night, i kept feeling things crawling on me. Again, i thought it was all in my head. But, the next morning, i told my fiance that i felt ants last night. He laughed. But as soon as he got up from the bed, he saw one.
Fast forward to tonight. We could not fall asleep because we kept scratching and feeling things crawl on us. My fiance looked at his pillow and found a couple ants. This made him search for the source. He found it. In the corner of the room, near the window, the ants were coming in and out. We are not ones to complain, but we figured we should switch rooms. Yes, we had to all of a sudden pack all of our stuff, but a few minutes of inconvenience is better than no sleep at all. We went down to the receptionist to notify them of our issue.
What happens next is crazy! The old man raking the night shift did not speak a word of English. We used Google translate to tell him there were ants. He accused us of eating in our rooms. We don't eat in our rooms and we definitely were not storing any food. He told his boss lady and she came up to our room to inspect it herself. She started yelling at us and telling us its cause we have food. Again, what food?! After telling us that a couple ants is "normal" and that we are being picky, she let us switch rooms. Wow!!! This is our 7th hotel in our 3 week vacation and not once did we find ants in our other 6.
Beware!!! I don't even trust them holding our luggage for us tomorrow at this point.

I was able to do so many things from this well-located and very clean hotel. I stayed 2 weeks while at a workshop and paid less than my colleagues. This meant I could spend a bit more on food. Yum! Also, I was able to rent a bike from the hotel and access the pedestrian/running path beside the Guadalquivir River. Daily, on route to the workshop, I would walk through the historic districts, and when I returned, relax in great air conditioning that always worked. You control the temps via remote control. All items in the hotel are brand new.I had a great view from the window and anything I needed, the folks at the counter were always there to help. I will stay there the next time I go to Sevilla.

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor (or higher) to enjoy the view!

The hotel is central a short walk from the bus station and the sights. It is in a quiet street. Our room was very nice and also clean, a good size as was the bathroom. It had a shower and a bath, which was great after a day sight seeing. The single beds were a decent size and comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient and cooled the room quickly. We even had a small balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were very happy we chose this hotel.

Hotel Madrid is well situated in the heart of old Seville. Walk to the Guadalquivir, the cathedral, Alcazar, the Toro d'Oro. The hotel is a 10m walk from the bus station. Taxi to the train station is about 7 euros. Clean hotel on a quiet street. Breakfast is included. I was there in February, the man at the desk suggested places to eat and things to see. While in Seville, have your hair cut! Figaro!

Room Tip: The rooms on the street are a bit noisier but all in all, still very quiet.

Its a small hotel newly decorated. The rooms are efficient, not spacious but got a nice closet and suitcases fit under the bed. The bathroom was enough for one, and with a good shower. Everything was clean and bedding in decent condition. Towels were rough, but I guess part of being in a budget hotel. The elevator is small, although I've seen worse. This one at least fit the two of us w/ 2 luggage. They offer an american breakfast w/ fruits and orange juice for a reasonable price. They also rent bikes cheaper than in rental places, and we rented two which worked fine and had a blast going around Sevilla. All around the hotel there are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. And even more options walking a few blocks. I used Foursquare (app) to find several great recommendations around us.
If you like tapas you will love Sevilla, they have taken the tapas to another level. For traditional ones go to any El Patio San Eloy, although I would recommend the one on Calle San Eloy as it seemed to be the original experience. For the more adventurous try Norte Andaluza at La Alameda de Hercules, we went there twice as the food was great and prices very reasonable. And a bit pricey but also very good was Zelai a few blocks from the hotel. Another great restaurant to enjoy while visiting el Alcazar is Gusto Ristobar, on the side of the Cathedral, you wont regret it a bit.
We went to see a Flamenco show at El Museo del Baile Flamenco. It was not to expensive but it wasn't too impressive either. I would say average.
The weather in March was just right, not too hot, not too cold and Sevilla is very walkable and safe to adventure.
A MUST is the Metropol Parasol. If you have only one thing to do in Sevilla this would be my recommendation. Its not only beautiful modern architecture but you can walk all over it and see all Seville. Don't forget your camera or smart phone!.

I stayed here for two nights in May. While I believe this hotel is officially a one-star, it certainly felt like a solid three-star hotel. While the street is initially hard to find, that means it is very quiet. I had a room with a small balcony but with blackout shades as needed. The room was a little small, but that is to be expected for being in the tourist center. Bathroom also compact but serviceable. Flat screen TV, and strong A/C -- a necessity in Sevilla even in May. WiFi worked perfectly and was free. Decor was simple but clean. The only drawback was that the walls between rooms were thin and you could also hear noise from the tiny hallway occasionally.

It seems this is a family business. The older woman who checked me in is the mother, and I met her children at other times. I speak Spanish, so communication was not an issue. They also let me store my luggage at the hotel after checkout until the afternoon.

Not far from the hotel near the river is a shopping mall that includes a supermarket in the basement and a number of reasonably priced Spanish chain restaurants. It was about a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral. Value for money definitely.

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is small and immaculately clean and there is tv, air conditioning and wifi.
The hotel is just a short walk from the centre and also great to access buses and the river.
The only potential barrier is that only one or two of the staff speak much English - however all the staff are so friendly and welcoming that it was easy to manage all communication with broken Spanish and a bit of hand signalling!!!
Breakfast was simple with croissants, bread and jams but the freshly squeezed orange juice is great.
