“Great all around for a short schedule-free visit”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Great family place, date place, pleasant stroll alone. No tickets or schedule required. Quick visit or spend half a day there. Try the rowboats! Park next door, souvenirs of all kinds, and snacks.

“Impressive”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

This was the Spanish pavilion built for the Fair of 1929. Huge structure built in the shape of an arc. Different cities in Spain are depicted in ceramic in a series of small alcoves around the arc with some information also presented for each one. Very extensive open plaza in front, providing a photogenic setting for the many horse-drawn carriages. There is a water channel for small rowing boats that circle the open plaza and provide a moment of fun and relaxation. Well worth a visit.

“Spectacular and free.”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

A spectacular complex surrounding a central plaza and gardens.
Only built in the 1920's but rich in architecture, design and colour. The gardens offer shade and peace.
More written signage/detail could have been provided in English.
Take a horse carriage ride. Not cheap but the prices are fixed and the drivers have good historical knowledge.
Beware .....when we visited there were no toilet facilities in the plaza or park which were working.!

“Magnificent Plaza with a canal of its own”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

The symmetrical structures of two towers, canal and four bridges make it so beautiful. A fountain in the center but no water at the time we arrived.
