Been three times - Hotel is excellent

Review of Hotel Goya
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 21, 2019
The staff are really friendly and the rooms are clean and compact - the Hotel is modern inside and its location is awesome on Mateos Gago you're 200 yards and 200 tapas bars away from the cathedral and City Centre.

Hotel Giota exceeded all our expectations! Perfectly located just a couple of minutes walk from the Cathedral! Very warm welcome, hotel was spotlessly clean, beds comfortable, toiletries provided, everything was just perfect! Highly recommend, would stay here again & Seville has stolen a piece of my heart! ❤️

This hotel is spotless. The room we stayed in (No.120) was quiet large, There was two small balcony's overlooking the street below. The wifi was excellent. The hotel felt safe as there is only one entrance which was manned 24/7. You are required to leave your room key with reception when leaving the hotel and it is given back to you on return. The hotel is right in the heart of everything, there are loads of tapas bars nearby and just a stones throw from the cathedral. We went to the Aire de sevilla spa which is very close by and so relaxing, well worth a visit. Over all I would recommend staying here.

Although it is absolutely central if you don't know Seville you might be hard pushed to get to the hotel without a taxi at some point. Being in the Old Town buses don't get that close and you can easily get lost. Which actually makes it a bit of a hidden gem for those on a budget. The room I was in was small and basic but with good storage and a bright bathroom. As such, it suited my needs perfectly well. the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel felt secure despite the busy location. Although,as standard for a hotel of this type it doesn't do breakfast, you are spoiled for choice in the vicinity. I had no problems with the Wi-Fi. The only real downside for me was the lack of hot water when I wanted it . Even first thing in the morning it often simply ran cold and I had to really persevere in order to get a shower and shave. You can't save water if you have to keep running the tap to get it even lukewarm. That apart I enjoyed my stay at the Goya.

Hotel Goya is situated at heart of old town of Seville. It is 2 minutes walk from Cathedral. Rooms are basic but in good condition. Wi-Fi was good. You can walk to Plaza De Espanya, Parasol (mushroom structure) in around 15 minutes. Hotel doesn't have breakfast option but within 3 minutes there are good options for sit down Breakfast.
Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms dont have safe but there is a common hotel safe that is free to use. Front desk was staffed at all hours.

This small hotel is great value in a superb location. Set in a historic precinct with many bars and cafes, only minutes to the Cathedral and Alcazar. I stayed in a single room which was small, but clean, light and comfy. Wonderful staff and a gorgeous old building building. I will stay here again.

Room tip: Single rooms are great value for solo travellers.
