In a city where the tapas menus can sometimes seem photocopied from one place to the next, Bar Viriato stands out. Delicious modern food, big on flavor and excellently prepared, in a sleek modern setting but in an old part of the central city. Some of the best beef and duck I've had in a while. Vegetarian selections available. Plates come in two sizes, "small" tapas -- though quite a nice portion, ie: four slices of beef filet -- and plates. Excellent wine, paired by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Close to Calle Feria, with it's excellent shopping.
