Hotel Zenit Sevilla was a great home base for our two day visit. Just a few minutes walking to the more touristy areas, you pass through a number of local hangouts and markets on your way downtown. When you're tired of seeing other tourists and obnoxious flocking groups, it's a nice respite.
I really wish I remembered the name of the restaurant facing North looking up the river on the East side of the river, but I can't. It's a yellow building with two levels and a roof-top deck. Incredibly busy with local night life, but a great place for a relaxing breakfast.
The hotel was about as close as we'd want to be, since being in a hotel too close to the action was not the goal. This location is quieter and more relaxing. The room itself was nothing special. Spacious, to be sure, with ample closet space, but oddly decorated and dark. Deep colors in the room make it feel even darker, and the large mirror on the wall (HUGE mirror) that is likely meant to make the room feel bigger or brighter is just odd, and not effective. And parking, while convenient, is not thoroughly explained. There is no elevator that goes down to the parking garage, so if you have luggage unload it out front first before parking your car. Otherwise you'll be dragging it up a staircase.
BUT, we'd definitely stay there again. Great location, very friendly staff, and the room was clean.
