“Classic hotel close to everything”
Reviewed October 2, 2011

We had a wonderful refreshing stay at the old world hotel close to the cathedral. Great front desk staff and classy rooms. On a quiet street between the bull ring and the cathedral.

The room was small and simple and clean. The window went out to an outdoor column of space (not large enough to be a courtyard, but large enough to let in some light).

Noise traveled easily in the hotel. The people upstairs were wearing heals and went to bed later & got up earlier than us, so we could hear the clopping of heals above us. Luckily most people were quiet or maybe there weren't many people there.

Only Spanish channels on the TV.

Overall, it was a decent nights sleep in a great location.

The walls were so thin, that we could hear the words of the people in the room next to us. Luckily they switched off the TV and went to sleep at a reasonable hour. The air conditioning was a slight puff of semi-cool air, but the rooms were quite dark, so it didn't get too hot. Internet only available on a computer downstairs at reception.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving advice and maps. Parking was expensive at €16, however this is unsurprising given the hotel's location, which is in the heart of the old town.

Value for money is ok, considering the quality of the rooms, however if you have a car, it makes it more expensive.

The Europa is a decent hotel, offering clean, traditional rooms with modern bathrooms and power showers, pleasant reception area and friendly service. Location is excellent - just a short walk from the Cathedral, main shopping district, bars, restaurants etc.

All in all this is a pretty good option for the price (80 euros per night).

we got a good spacious room (#300) which was neat and clean. Didt care about room not having a particular decor. Shower area is a but small, but its awesome location more than made up for any shortcoming (if at all).

This hotel is very very well located. Its a stones throw from cerveceria international, which serves over 200 beers from around the world!! Also, its close to a laundry and mini supermarket. Highly recommend this place!

Staff was very friendly and the location was great! Close to everything in Santa Cruz. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Beds weren't too comfortable, but it was worth it overall. I would definitely stay there again!

I have mixed feelings when I think of this hotel.

The good points – all of the staff were friendly, great location, good sized room, nice balcony, nice tiles in the reception and hallway areas and large flatscreen samsung tv ( I didn't watch it so dont know how many channels). I also felt safe here as a solo traveller.

The bad points – the room i was in (and two others on the same floor that I noticed) didn't have the traditional tiles or look as nice as the bedroom pictures on various websites, just plain bright yellow artex walls. The walls were also quite thin – didn't notice it at first as someone quiet was in the room next door but noticed it when they left and were replaced by someone who snored loudly and I could also clearly hear their tv, shower and them talking. There was no cubicle or screen around the shower, just the tray and a curtain so floor of the small bathroom was always soaking. There was a small bit of paper under the spare bed in my room when I arrived – and it was still there when I left.
I paid around £46 per night which I thought was a fair enough price.

I will probably be staying in a different area when I go back to Seville but I wouldn't rule out going back to this hotel in the future if I am on a budget.
