I asked for a quiet room and one with the tile décor and I got it! No TV, expect old & functional...appropriate for the price. It is convenient to everything you will want to do. Funky courtyard is where you get WI-FI (not in your room). Had an ant problem in the bathroom. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we ate out every day. It looked pretty basic.

Room Tip: Ask for the authentic décor or you'll just get an old beat up room like a hostel. Front is very...

We knew we'd hardly be in our room when visiting Sevilla and selected this hotel as it fit our budget compared to hotels in the same vicinity that were much more expensive. Hotel Simon is a minute's walk to the cathedral and located as central as you can get. The rooms are actually pretty spacious by European standards and ours was clean. If I remember correctly there wasn't a TV but this was not a problem as we weren't there to stay inside. The courtyard is a nice place to relax after a long day of sightseeing and gives the hotel its own charm. If you are a light sleeper request an inside room since the ones that face the street can be a bit noisy. All in all I think for the location the price can't be beat but if you plan to have luxury I'd recommend looking elsewhere although you'll spend a fortune!

Room Tip: Inside rooms are more quiet compared to those facing the street.

Well placed closed to all sights in the old city very good staff who moved us to double room at end of the day when we asked for larger room. This was ground floor and the rooms could have been cleaner however beds were comfortable once I pulled plastic sheet off. I have found I have had to pull plastic off most beds in Spain so this no bother.

We had two rooms and could not decide which was filthier - the one with blood streak and pubic hair on the bed linen or the one with the hair-on-snot stuck to the bathroom sink wall for two days. While the floors looked clean, it was only because they were new material; the maid must have been using the same filthy mop moving the dirt around. The furnishings were not just old - they were shabby, including the mattress. The three lamps in the room were hardly sufficient to read by. The elevator was scary - the noises it made were startling and the cab shook on arrival. One of the two concierges was helpful; the other one hardly said a word as he registered us - using carbon paper to fill out all the forms. We stayed in four other hotels during our stay in Spain, all far more comfortable, appealing, and friendlier.

Room Tip: Stay away!

All you need in the very heart of Seville. All the essential and a lot of cultural character, as it should be... A few steps away from the Cathedral and the must-be-seen Real Alcazar, a little walk from the Plaza de Toros and the First stop of sightseeing tour busses along the river. Friendly staff and clean rooms, much more than you would expect from a 1-star. We loved the atmospere in the building and the triple room was perfectly arranged for parents to have their niche... loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room to be in the most charming part of the building. They are the ones with g...

A period hotel, centrally located for the main sights of Santa Cruz. The staff were friendly and efficient and the hotel itself, with its central courtyard, period detail and furnishings made for a great short stay. Parking and driving through the centre, by mistake, was "interesting" to say the least but well worth the trip.
